sounds interesting
|
| |
It's alright and nothing more.
|
| |
yesssss. i've been waiting for this.
|
| |
Song was boring
|
| |
It's a fair song, but sub-par by Muse's standards though. I'm underwhelmed.
|
| |
mildly entertaining
|
| |
I get the impression that this new album will need to be played from start to finish for a lot of the songs to make sense. That's the optimistic side of me speaking; certain parts are skeptical that it's just going to suck. Song is very unerwhelming for a lead single and pretty sub-par in general.
|
| |
Bass is sweet, chorus is awesome, love the part about the "fat cats". Much better than USoE all around.
|
| |
lyrics are generic and uninteresting
|
| |
that was pretty disappointing
|
| |
actually isn't good at all
|
| |
I thought his voice was probably the best part and the effects(though they are repetitive)
|
| |
Its not bad, just uninspiring. I've never really been a huge Muse fan though.
|
| |
Don't know what to think.
|
| |
I'm a sucker for clapping in songs.
|
| |
battles - atlas
|
| |
they need to inject some awesome heaviness, like their old stuff. its just not edgy anymore
|
| |
But then you would have people complaining that it sounds like their old stuff and they need to learn how to write new music. Seriously, the last thing you do is write music for your fans because they are always going to moan about something. As a songwriter myself, it's great if the audience enjoys what I'm playing. However, in the end, the audience are spectators and nothing more.
|
| |
that doesn't make this good though
|
| |
Any time I doubt this album I just remember whenever "Supermassive Black Hole" was the first single for Black Holes And Revelations and I wanted to cry and then the rest of the album was a good bit better.
|
| |
I agree, its better to satisfy your artistic cravings rather then try and please your audience, but IMO i wish they were heavier
|
| |
I'm a big muse fan but that was kind of boring. I also agree on that they should have gone a little heavier.
|
| |
Good song sounds like a grower. Thanks for the post.
|
| |
HEY GUYS I HEARD A SONG BY A BAND CALLED BATTLES IT'S CALLED ATLAS LET'S WRITE A SONG THAT'S EXACTLY THE SAME
That being said, I was mildly entertained by this; typical of Muse.
|
| |
Stockholm Syndrome
Hysteria
Assasins
there are more, but those are some of my favorites.
|
| |
Reminds me a bit of White Wedding
|
| |
Song was pretty boring. I am depressed. Though all I really want to work is the symphony parts
|
| |
Atlas + White Wedding, the mix nobody asked for. Thanks Muse!
|
| |
Very dissapointing. The synths and bass were great but the rest of the song seemed a bit bland. It was all too one-paced, uninspired and, dare I say it generic, which is the last thing you'd expect from Muse.
|
| |
It's not a bad song, it's just that I can't see myself listening to this track over and over again like I can every other muse song... and even though I'm a sucker for claps and HEYS! in a song, I can't help but be a little dissapointed in this tune, it just doesn't go anywhere.
|
| |
It's to monotonous for a Muse song
|
| |
Agreed.
|
| |
so should i listen to muse.
|
| |
*weeps softly as he presses the pause button and plays Stockholm Syndrome on full volume*
|
| |
Yep you should. I'm not going to state an album to start because it will just start a:
OH ABSOLUTION RULES OOS
NAH YA GAY IT DOESNT.
So just start anywhere, coz there all awesome. Cept for Showbiz.. its boring
|
| |
will do. it's so amazing knowing theres so much music out there i havent heard thats apparently like balls amazing, aka all good music before 1994.
|
| |
1994 was fucking amazing year for music!
|
| |
well generally i never listen to anything pre90s for some reason. its never appealed until...now. anyways, muse sounds interesting.
|
| |
1993-1994:
The Holy Bible
The Downward Spiral
Grace
Superunknown
In Utero
Dookie
Songs of Faith and Devotion
The Blue Album
Parklife
Debut
Mellow Gold
Smash
Far Beyond Driven
Siamese Dream
Definitely Maybe
Under the Pink
Undertow
Vitalogy
|
| |
thanks. ill make a list asking for pre-90 recs.
|
| |
pretty dull, but I'm glad of a sign of more muse to come.
|
| |
"well generally i never listen to anything pre90s for some reason. its never appealed until...now. anyways"
Lol I absolutley love old music, and It just dawned on me a few weeks ago that I never bothered with the beatles, so I rushed out, bought an album and it was amazing!
|
| |
not what I thought the song would be like from that small preview that was on the radio or whatever...but I still thought it was pretty awesome.
|
| |
Fucking Warner bros took the song off >=[
|
| |
Fucking Warner bros took the song off >=[
wtf die warner
|
| |
Fucking stupid. It's a song for christ sakes, I can't believe they took it down... it comes out in like 3 hours.
|
| |
Dear Time Warner,
Since you decided to throw a wrench in my gears and remove the song some few hours before it would be made available to the public, you forced me to illegally download it, rather than simply listen to a stream. I would like to personally thank you for shooting yourself in the foot.
|
| |
uhhh atlas isnt the only song to use that type of intstrumentation/swing rhythm guys lmao
|
| |

Hahaha.

it was okay
|
| |
Well at least we know there will be one good song on the new album.
|
| |
Probably one that's not a single
|
| |
can download it at noon pacific time here:
http://www.fmqbproductions.net/epks/2009/muse/web.html
I'm waiting for the download to check this out. very excited!
|
| |
DAMMIT!!!
Its not even good!
I loved USOE though, so my hopes are still up.
This is sincerely disappointing...
|
| |
doesn't sound like muse are trying really hard at all..
|
| |
Ugh, song sucks.
|
| |
First thought was that this sounds a lot like "Saviour"
less depressingly disappointing though
|
| |
Is USoE going to be on the album?
|
| |
Interesting song. Very interesting.
|
| |
I loved Supermassive Black Hole, but I'm not so much a fan of this.
|
| |
Surprisingly Muse-by-the-numbers, not to excited for this disc.
|
| |
very interesting, i like the synth, but the vocal melodies not as much.
|
| |
