Thrice Change Release Date

2009-07-23 by Dave de Sylvia EMERITUS | 50 Comments
Thrice have pushed the digital release of their new album Beggars forward to August 11, following the surprise leak of the album on Monday. The physical release, with bonus tracks, has also been pushed forward to an unspecified date.

Commenting on the leak on Wednesday, the band wrote: "[W]e’re disappointed that the leak has thrown a massive and immovable wrench into the efforts that many people have made to prepare for the three months leading up to release. That said, what’s done is done, and we’re moving forward.

"Leaks happen overnight. Changing an entire retail marketing plan doesn’t."

Beggars was originally scheduled for an October 13 release on Vagrant Records.

I'll wait till August as it's a hell of a push forward, definately worth waiting for. Leaks suck. Fanboy waiting ftw.

I'm definitely buying this. Both digital and physical copies.

Best band in the whole fuckin world and Beggars besides being probably the best record of the year, it's next to TAITA as their best record so far.

AMAZING NEWS. So fuckin' proud of them.

Also, im sure this recording is gonna be amazing.

EDIT: Just saw AmericnZero02's post. Sweet.

This is playing right into Nick Greer's (aka dfelon) hands. Now he has ample time to write what will eventually be a 139 paragraph review.

You shouldn't have to have sympathy for them to love them, you should just have to listen to them

Alligator, you said the other day you'd only heard one of their records, and if that's the case I'm hardly surprised that you're not as in love as most people on Sputnik. It's hardly going to provide you with a representative idea of their consistently awesome output, is it?

With the first selection in the SputnikMusic draft, Nick Greer selects Thrice from the University of Californian Post-Hardcore.
