TFOT Release ""Ghostships"

2008-10-27 by KritikalMotion | 28 Comments
The Fall of Troy have announced the release of "Phantom On The Horizon" via myspace bulletin. The long awaited album has been up in the air ever since they released the "Ghostship Demos" onto the internet 4 years ago. After many rumours that they would never release it they have made this announcement out of nowhere.

We will be releasing it for our tour starting November 28th w/ The # 12 Looks Like You, Warship, and Black Houses...

We will be doing the west coast 1st, playing the whole record, the whole way through, and doing the east coast soon to follow.

We have spent the last 4 and a 1/2 years on this record, it's a step up from anything we felt we've ever done. And we hope to give back to everyone who's been waiting so long to hear this song(s) for so long as we have.

We love you, and need you all. Mad respect, this one's for all of you guys who have been around for it all, and waited for it as well.

Let's show the rock n' roll industry it's not all about singles and good looks, it's about vision, integrity, time, and patience.

We are so proud of this record, so come out to the tour and get ur copy while we have them.

We love the hell out of you all.

XOXO

Thomas

Haha i'm pretty shocked at this. For the last four years people have been hasseling them to finally release this. It should be amazing if it stays true to the old demos. They've pretty much released it when no one would expect them too. IDK if they're just selling it at shows or something. This Message Edited On 10.27.08

I never thought they'd get around to recording this. Hopefully it'll top Manipulator.

I just hope its the old style and they havent altered it too much. The old ghostships are some of my favourite songs ever. What i would give to see one of those shows....This Message Edited On 10.27.08

I wouldn't count on that. They've had four years to change them, so i'm going to assume they did. Hopefully for the better...

Not really released :/ its not like you can freaking get the thing anywhere they're only selling it on tour "while they have them" so if they run out by the time they get to the east coast I swear I will rape Thomas with a rake

Fail.
This will be awesome as long as Tom stays true to the original vocals and doesn't go all Manipulator on our asses.

agreed^^. Thom really can't sing very well. ...I'm surprised though, in interviews they've seemed reluctant to re-do ghostships.
...as long as they're just as amazing. I think the album will have a format similar to 2112.
