Stand Atlantic's new LP, single 2026-07-17 by arthropod | 3 Comments | Aussie pop punk outfit Stand Atlantic announced their 5th full-length GODBREATH to drop on October 23, with the romantic number "Velcro" and newly released opener "LUCID" serving as singles.
As Bonnie Fraser, the singer, stated:
"This was a hard track to figure out. ‘LUCID’ was one of the last songs we wrote for this record and I was kind of done. I felt like I was running out of things to say that wouldn’t feel super contrived. So I went plain and simple, I thought ‘I’m not going to overthink this, let’s go with what self-sabotage feels like’, and explored that lyrically."

SA can write such monstrously catchy choruses but don't pigeonhole themselves into the pop-punk genre. That's one thing I really like about them. If they had just kept rinsing and repeating with their Pink Elephant/Skinny Dipping sound, they'd still be a pretty good band, but they're so much more interesting now. A little slice of reggae on "Rockstar"? yes please. Some electronics and metal on "Criminal"? I'll take both, thank you very much.
