Production is a bit weird at times and the original is easily superior, but this is still 1000% better than anything from that fucking awful F.I.L.T.H. EP.

Pretty sad how far downhill PVRIS has gone in the last 5 years. That said, collaborating with LaPlante sounds pretty cool, I'll have to check this out today.

I really love a lot of what this band has to offer, but it's the "I was always responsible for everything" word Lynn has been following over the last few years that I just don't buy.
The writing and production style from White Noise/AWKOHAWNOH to Use Me/Evergreen is very clearly the product of a collaborative band effort gradually shrinking down to a solo effort - the first two albums have depth and structural/writing variety that vastly surpasses those seen on Evergreen.
Why? Because Evergreen is a solo album, and the first two albums weren't.

@Aerisavion - THANK YOU. I swear, I loved Lynn for the longest time but all this retroactive credit taking she did really soured my opinion of her.
Maybe if there wasn't such a noticeable style/quality shift in PVRIS's last two albums I would be more inclined to believe her, but it's like the "band" completely changed for the worse after she started making those claims.

Yea I really love this band's early work, I jammed the second album a TON in my later years of college, but they've completely lost me and I have no interest in them anymore since it's become the Lynn show. It's very clear that early stuff was far more collaborative, and honestly Lynn sounded better back then too she had a lot more strength behind her voice and far more interesting vocal runs.
This whole rerecording leaves a bad taste in my mouth and from the snippets I've heard, the OG is so much better lol

Sounds like shit and honestly a really poor performance from Courtney
|
| |
Courtney just spreading herself out thin everywhere trying to stay relevant.
|
| |
I don't think 'trying to stay relevant' is an issue Spiritbox are having haha, they've grown a massive audience in barely 1-2 years.
|
| |
It sounds like utter shit and the original is so much better

first album was a scenecore classic
