Hiatus Kaiyote Make Friends 2024-03-27 by Cyan isn't a shade of blue. | 16 Comments | Australian soul band Hiatus Kaiyote have just released the 2nd single “Make Friends” for their upcoming 4th studio album. The album’s title has been revealed to be Love Heart Cheat Code and is set to release June 28th.
Hiatus Kaiyote said on their Bandcamp page that “A final unscripted addition to the album, “Make Friends” was inspired by words of wisdom imparted to the band by a friend who noted, “You don’t make friends, you recognize them.” Nai Palm was quoted saying: “I wanted to have representation for just the different examples of people that I love from the women in my life, to the men, to my non-binary friends, and it was very natural and fun to work on as a formula.”
