Heard a little of the single. Sounded good. Should probably listen to the whole thing.

One of the best deathcore bands ever
| |
This definitely riffs better than most modern deathcore that I can think of rn.
| |
Holy shit! I thought for sure this wasn’t a real post.
| |
Well that was fucking awesome.
| |
17 years...damn. Remember loving In Between The Sheets back in the day.
| |
not sure i even agree with the deathcore label. pretty cool stuff.
| |
They could be considered deathcore in 2005 but not 2023.
| |
"This definitely riffs better than most modern deathcore that I can think of rn."
Bar is super low in that regard tbf
This will probably be the best deathcore release in a HOT minute
| |
Pretty decent track! The solo was definitely a nice touch
| |
These guys and The Red Chord are the 2 great deathcore bands.
| |
The only other band I can think of who scratch that Cryptopsy - None So Vile itch of music that is fucking insane but also brutal
| |
Fuck yes
| |
Nothing like the good ol' myspace deathcore to jam to
| |
@million animosity and the first two all shall perish albums would like a word
| |
First Job for a Cowboy album too
| |
we're back to thinking only Animosity, Red Chord, and Casket are "great" deathcore bands?
time really is a circle on sputnikmusic.com
| |
dont forget all shall perish edit: just saw they were already mentioned lol
| |
They're definitely at the top of the mountain
| |
my goodness, $50 for vinyl preorder, after shipping and all? for an EP?
hard pass.
| |
Oh YEAH. I forgot about Animosity. Them too. All Shall Perish were solid.
| |
love this recent trend of me discovering long-dead bands only for them to release new material a year later. keep it up!
| |
@milliondead don't forget The Taste of Blood
| |
mfs talking about this being one of the best DC bands ever and no one has even mentioned Wretched smdh, but yeah pretty sure this will be dope as
| |
sick song
| |
Speaking of Wretched, this is the same vocalist. Adam Cody's vocals are seriously unparalleled, dude has the best timbre in the genre
| |
all shall perish too
| |
"Speaking of Wretched, this is the same vocalist. Adam Cody's vocals are seriously unparalleled" that was literally my point lol
| |
Hell yeah man, Son of Perdition is an absolute journey of an album
| |
Song is up on Spotify now
| |
I love Wretched! If we're counting them as deathcore, then they'd be way up there too. On even ground with the aforementioned groups. Seems like they pretty much rid themselves of all core influence on Cannibal though. They‘ve always seemed to me as a group that played straight up melodeath and thrash death riffs, just with the occasional breakdown part.
| |
This is dope! Love the solo and excited to hear more. Didn't realize this was the guy from Wretched. Saw them open for Cannibal Corpse years back and they were great live. Only really jammed their first two albums but they're pretty solid
| |
fuck where’s mappy
| |
this rules. i'm so glad they're back
| |
yeah this sounds insane.
| |
Let’s be honest, a world without btbam but one with new glass would be pretty epic
| |
Possibly the most out of left field news I’ve ever heard but excited!!1
| |
the only good deathcore album is Nadir
| |
fair
| |
Hell yeah! Despised Icon, Waking the Cadaver, Beneath the Massacre.. and now Glass Casket.
Not long ago I rediscovered the extreme metal genres for myself and was filled with joy when I found out that all these bands had returned in the meantime. Love it.
Now I'm hoping for a reunion and new albums of The Red Chord and Animosity
| |
I'm pretty sure The Red Chord is one of those situations like Job For a Cowboy where eventually life happened and everyone just naturally stopped with the band. E.g. I think the vocalist for Red Chord is a full-time police officer, and the vocalist for JFAC went to school for a comp sci degree and multiple members started families. I think in both cases they haven't ruled out new music ever, but it might be a hot minute. Which is a shame because Fed Through the Teeth Machine and Sun Eater were some of their finest works respectively.
As for Animosity, we have Entheos which has both Navene and Evan in some capacity, so that may be the closest we get. Good thing Entheos is sick
| |
wild
| |
"I think the vocalist for Red Chord is a full-time police officer"
That's true. He's actually a detective in a special victims unit and I'm not even joking.
