Gary Rossington passed away 2023-03-06 by Fernando Alves | 15 Comments | Gary Rossington, guitarist and last surviving founding member of Southern rock band Lynyrd Skynyrd, has passed away at the age of 71. The band released the following statement via their social media:
"It is with our deepest sympathy and sadness that we have to advise, that we lost our brother, friend, family member, songwriter and guitarist, Gary Rossington, today.
Gary is now with his Skynyrd brothers and family in heaven and playing it pretty, like he always does.
Please keep Dale, Mary, Annie and the entire Rossington family in your prayers and respect the family’s privacy at this difficult time."

@grungil
If there's not an article about Wayne Shorter's passing, either because some relevant users don't have the time or because most users aren't even aware of the artist, then make one.
