Solid as always, one of the most consistent bands working.

yeah pretty good, melancholic and atmospheric - pleasant. the riffs are kinda lacking and it's pretty run-of-the-mill and formulaic for them. i'm really hoping for something more out of what they do next.

Decent track they’ve conjured up here.

Damn, that was quick, last album was just a couple years ago.

nice

Solid track. I'm honestly not sure how they manage to keep their sound interesting while changing it so little over the years.
Also, their videos are pretty good. Distinct lack of cringe.

love this

this is as closes to DM gets to a ballad. i dug it

Love it! Heart Like a Grave was my favorite album of 2019 and nothing has topped it yet. They just keep getting better!
|

much like heart like a grave, this is a good track with their signature beautiful melodies, but what I'm hoping will be unlike HLAG is some tracks that actually show off some speed and aggression. they do both sounds well but their last album leaned way too far into tracks like this

For a song with basically no noteworthy riffs it's pretty good. Very obvious that this song was written by Markus.

A lot more key changes in this than they usually do, I think it's cool. Very dynamic.
I miss the faster paced style of earlier albums but I didn't mind Heart Like A Grave.

Has some nice moments but made up mostly of the typical drudgery that they have been serving up of late. I just don't get on with modern day Insomnium's heavy-handed melancholy and lack of riffs.

One of the most consistent bands in history.

I can't get into this band save for a few singles that I like to listen to on repeat (mortal share, since the day it all came down)
|
| |
Sounds like an album closer to me.
|

Man track is really boring i think. Might be liked by new fans.
Hoping to find 1 or 2 killer songs like last album.

Old fan here, STDIACD being my favorite Insomnium, but I dig this song. I wish they took advantage of their guitar players abilities more though tbh. Kinda the same feelings I had with DT' Moment, the songwriting itself is good, but there's something lacking in the riff dept. Atmosphere is still that melancholic melodeath vibe they've perfected at this point, but just wish they'd kick the riffs up just a notch.
|
| |
The more I listen to that guitar solo, more bland it sounds. I find first half of the track really interesting though.
|
| |
boooooooring, sad that this band really hasn't done that much for me in the last 7 or so years
