New Mortiis album is coming

2019-10-18 by Grumpy | 17 Comments
The dungeon synth godfather announced, that a new album is coming in early 2020 (January 24), entitled: Spirit Of Rebellion.

Back to the roots: the new album is going to be a new chapter in his solo project, because it means he is abandoning the industrial rock phase for a while, and turns back to dungeon synth again.

“When I was working on re-interpreting my old music for the Cold Meat Industry Festival in Stockholm almost two years ago, I had no idea that I’d eventually create an – almost – new record, nor that a section of it would be used for my first dungeon synth video since 1996. But here we are.”

I really hope he is going to do only Dungeon Synth/Dark Ambient albums from now on like he used to. His Ambient albums are still truly great but his other (mostly Industrial) works are nothing special.

great news, but it seems like this will just be a reinterpretation of Ånden Som Gjorde Opprør.

Ah, so it'll be like his live perfomance. I like the sound of that.

Yeahhhh. But I really like these "reinterpretations". (For examle, ATGCLVLSSCAP by Ulver is phenomenal with the reimagined songs.)
