Remember back around 2008-2012 when bands would try and make all of their song titles sound clever? "MZRY" kind of fits into that category. As for the song itself? It's kind of safe/below average.
I really, REALLY liked Retrograde. Truthfully, I was never a fan of the group until that album. Then the guitarist/vocalist left that's arguably the most talented member from the band. So...it's no surprise that the quality of their songs have decreased. However, it's not like this is AWFUL by any means. I'll check out the new album with high hopes...but let's do a quick rundown so far: "20/20" was good, "What I Am" was solid, "Sudden Sky" was fine, and "MZRY" is below average. By that track record, I'm unsure of how the new album will go.

all the singles so far have been lacklustre at best and awful at worst — this doesn’t change that at all (other than a pretty nice chorus, ig)
but they’ve been releasing singles for this record for almost an entire year for it to only be 10 tracks, and just above 30 minutes? absolute joke.
guess they didn’t pay their ghostwriters enough this time around.
