Do I even dare
| |
It's not that bad. Certainly better than anything off their last 3 albums.
| |
Shockingly decent.
| |
>All That Remains
>"Fuck Love"
nope
| |
Tbh I’d prefer a song by Love called “Fuck All That Remains”
| |
That’s what I initially thought but then I actually listened to it. Pretty good stuff surprisingly.
| |
okay you've convinced me. about to go listen
edit: it's...fine. harsh vox are nice. chorus is average. certainly a drastic improvement over the war crimes they've been dropping lately
| |
That scream at the end though... wow! Looks like all the girls they sold out for finally broke up with them.
| |
terrible. everyone is so blinded by the fact this song is heavier to admit it's generic and shitty metalcore
| |
Rather that than whatever the fuck they were on for the last three albums.
| |
Have to agree with Spirit. The riffs are bland and the chorus is fucking weird, it doesn't really do anything well, it's just better than the pure shit they've been putting out for so long.
Hearing Phil hit those highs again is cool, I will admit. The final scream is pretty nasty. Dude was my favorite metalcore vocalist back in the day.
| |
Lol that title
| |
What the hell, this doesn't even sound like All That Remains when they were good.
| |
"The song is a sharp contrast to their more recent style as it goes back to their metalcore roots."
So, they're still trash is what you're saying?
| |
this was solidly average and then the last breakdown happened... I don't care how good your scream is if you're screaming "fuck love" with a straight face. Hard pass.
| |
Still generic and very derivative but it's at least better than anything they've done in a long time.
| |
I'm glad this isn't the utter tripe that plagued their last 3 albums, the lyrics are pretty awful but the song was actually enjoyable. I dunno, maybe their last few albums lowered my expectations so much that even hearing ATR playing average metalcore is like listening to Carcass in comparison.
| |
6/10, a massive improvement
| |
lyrics are shite for sure, but fuck me if this isn't a decent headbanger
| |
Massive improvement for them. The song isn’t anything groundbreaking though but I loooove the scream at the end.
| |
This band were always mediocre Metalcore even their most praised album Fall of Ideals. (Unpopular opinion, apparently)
| |
Song title is cringe but damn that song was pretty fun. Probably won't listen again though.
| |
FAAAAAAAAAAAAAKKKKK LUUUUUUUUUUUUUURRRRVVEEEEE
| |
LUUUUUUUUUUUURRRRRVVVEEEEE is the new MOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
| |
Mediocre but this is the first song from them in years that I didn't cringe from.
So that's something?
| |
"fuck love"
Fuck love
Fuck love
Nah
| |
well you're just a conformist who's not deep enough to understand Phil's counterculture message!
| |
yeah he’s fucking retarded unlike the rest of us
| |
This song is aggressively mediocre and that ending breakdown omfg hahahaha the cringe is still relentlessly strong in them
Band needs to DIE
| |
opening riff + lead was cool, then the rest of the song happened
| |
yer just mad cause you like love.
| |
Actually don't mind this, sounds like they're trying to bring back a bit of Fall of Ideals.
| |
the fuck? hes emulating DevilDriver vocals haaaaard at times
| |
2.8/5
| |
So many white knights out here trying to defend love.
| |
So I’m guessing this blows right???
| |
blows you away, yeah
| |
Lmao
| |
must b extra baaaad if hawks ain’t messing with it
| |
yeah that's logic 101
| |
Not a return to form by any means but at least a step away from the butt rock they’ve been putting out the last 10 years. Vocals took me back
| |
what if I was nothing
| |
I’d honestly rather listen to that song than this
That’s how enjoyable this isn’t
| |
hot take: even when they were “good”, they weren’t actually good
| |
band's teased another song on Facebook. the clip is all clean vocals, but the instrumental is still a step above most of their recent stuff. if nothing else it sounds more Overcome than Madness.
also, apparently DL from The Acacia Strain produced the new album and had a hand in writing it, which might explain the heavier direction of this song. hopefully the rest of the album follows suit.
| |
not bad at all, but nothing special
| |
They sound like Devildriver
| |
Damn did DevilDriver really fall off that hard over the years?
| |
Trying to do a Slipknot song through the eyes of Killswitch Engage, but failing at both.
| |
This is a surprise in the same way that finding dog shit on the carpet when you get home is a surprise.
It's generic metalcore but generic metalcore is a step up from what they've been doing. That ending scream is annoying as fuck though.
| |
I agree with you boys. Sounds like a third rate ”Devildriver rip-off.
| |
that was actually pretty good. Labonte's vocals ruled hard in this.
| |
Not listened to this band in a real long time, didn't mind that, but the replay factor is pretty non-existent.
| |
Looks like Phil is still the same age mentally as when they started.
| |
which is right around 14 and a half
| |
there's footage of them playing another new song live and aside from a clean chorus (which sounds more Fall if Ideals than radio rock) it's pretty much on the same level of heaviness as this, complete with low growls and some neat double bass drum sections.
| |
If they knew they couldn’t top or at least compete with Ideals then they should have retired.
| |
"certainly a drastic improvement over the war crimes they've been dropping lately" [2] and lol
Tbh I’d prefer a song by Love called “Fuck All That Remains” [2]
yeah have to agree with durrzo and spirit here. not good at all, just hard to b worse than what theyve been doing.
| |
ok wow this is actually ok, just ok but still way better than they have been in years.
| |
Fuck you guys, this song is amazing
| |
Amazingly bad
| |
so now they have a new album coming out too
oh boy
| |
You can't expect a brand new song without a brand new album!
| |
oh geez one song has Danny Warsnop in it
| |
super generic and weirdly deathcore (???) but has a couple ok parts
| |
nu-metalcore (lol deathcore)
I actually really like the vocals on this all the way through, never thought I'd say that about Phil ever again.
| |
Trve Kvlt Metal
| |
LAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARVEEEE!!!!!
| |
Band should have retired in 2011
| |
two new songs just got leaked...they're actually decent
| |
Wasteland was pretty fuckin cool actually. Hell, this album might push a 3 guys. Holy shit.
| |
'Everything's Wrong' was bland but it's better than anything off their last 3 albums regardless
| |
This is like when that one crazy ex begs you out of the blue to get back together promising it will be different this time and you're just lovesick enough to give them another shot because fuck it. I'm actually liking these songs alright, maybe they learned their lesson finally :P
| |
that's a big "maybe"
| |
You don't know them like I do. Sometimes they're really sweet.
| |
their the greatest metalcore band of all time. truly groundbreaking
| |
both of these new songs are actually pretty solid. Everything's Wrong is probably their best attempt at a radio-friendly anthem since Two Weeks, in part because it still actually sounds like a heavy metal song instead of butt rock.
