Republic of Wolves new single

2017-10-23 by SowingSeason STAFF | 14 Comments
The Republic of Wolves have released 'Mitama' in advance of their new LP, shrine, due out in March of 2018. The single comes on the heels of the band reaching its crowdfunding goal, which you can still contribute to here: http://www.indiegogo.com/projects/the-republic-of-wolves-lp-3-music-band#/.

'Mitama' puts the focus back on TROW's heavier, more dark and foreboding roots with screamed backing vocals and a lengthy mid-song instrumental breakdown. According to members of the band, shrine will also be their most heavily conceptual record since 2011's The Cartographer EP.

Love it. Reminds me a lot of something that would have been on His Old Branches.

yeah that breakdown is absolutely sick

I asked Billy from the band if there was going to be more instrumental solos and screamy shit on this one and he basically confirmed

So pumped now that I ordered the signed CD from their indiegogo fundraiser

Absolutely do. I'd recommend to most people on this site that they start with either His Old Branches or The Cartographer.

Totally forgot to back their Indiegogo, but this was a good reminder and reason to do so!

Hell yeah, they're back. tbh I always liked this side of them more than their other project (names slipping my mind but I know their last CD was Antarctica or something)
