I think they're still trying to figure out their direction post-Ladybeard. They want to try to do something that won't just keep drawing comparisons to Babymetal but haven't quite found the right sound yet.

I would ask a mod to rename the band on Sput but it's a very long name and they tend to keep calling themselves as Ladybaby for short anyway. So as long as the full name is in the bio it should be OK.

Yeah I think if they stay together for more than just a few years they'll probably have a big rebrand at some point. The agency they're signed to probably wants to milk the Ladybaby thing for as long as possible though.

it'd be interesting to see where they go if they do manage to stick around that long

i think they do have some talent and imo their combined vocals are better than babymetals

yeah, it should be Ladybaby with Ladybeard and something else in the style of Ladybaby Blue. Awkward how they earned fame with ladybeard and then got rid of him or he left and they're trying to ride out that fame. it really isn't the same.

The b-side Lady Baby Blue definitely seems a lot more stripped back. Might be a new direction to go in or something that could diversify future albums. Although the comments of that video are full of people suggesting the two girls are in a relationship and idk I don't think it's a good idea to start trying to work that out, especially when you consider how controlled Japanese idols' lives are. Relationships tend to be banned.

That new band name is an awful decision seriously.

Track was pretty fun though for the most part, but they still can't avoid sounding like a slightly more annoying and at times disapointing Babymetal clone.
