I'm half sad and half glad it's over.

On one hand, my misplaced hope is now completely gone. On the other, he'd been semi-conscious for a long time, so I can only imagine how hard it is to live in the state he'd been living.

Still though, let this serve as a reminder how wearing a seat belt can save lives. the death of a genuinely great guy and great musician could have been prevented had he been cautious. Still, nobody deserved what Chi got.

Just... Wow. Deftones have always been such a huge influence on me, and Chi was the reason I had initially played bass. This is some of the most heartbreaking news I've ever known, yet at the same time, I'm jubilant that he isn't suffering anymore. He never deserved such pain and agony for one small mistake. Rest in peace, Chi.

Chi's bass playing gave so much of the Deftones catalogue a sense of ethereal, but more importantly, huge soul. I will miss him greatly. RIP.
