| |
He can do no wrong.
| |
Ah this is great. just what i needed at 7 am.
| |
Sounds awesome.
| |
It's like he can't write a bad song. Everything I've heard so far off the new album is magnificent
| |
I like the new style better than the one from The Wild Hunt.
....wut? sounds pretty much like more of the same from that album. love it regardless
| |
i like this a lot
| |
Awesome. Looking forward to this.
| |
so great, ordered the vinyl
| |
Great as expected
| |
this was absolutely gorgeous, seems like his vocals have become more melodic and once-removed from Dylan.
| |
it was a great song, but im not sure i like the production and whole echo thing attached to his voice
| |
Album will rule
| |
Awesome song. Can't wait to see him again next month.
| |
That ambient electric guitar in the background is gorgeous. Looking forward to this album.
| |
This guy is just great. Awesome tune!
| |
Not gonna lie, wish he had released a slower song for the first single, but none the less this is really great, cannot wait for this album. Def should be an AOTY contender for sure.
| |
awesome
| |
kristian mattson is an amazing artist, but how has nobody mentioned how dull the album is shaping up to be thus far. guitar work is less impressive, vocals are far less catchy, and all the songs sound like kids on the run. also, he has incredibly similar melodies on 1904 and little brother. wild hunt is one of my favs of all time, hope this isn't a huge letdown.
| |
great track
| |
This is awesome. Definitely looking forward to hearing this album
| |
@jdennis: The vocals are pretty much just as catchy, though a bit less abrasive. The guitar work is definitely not as interesting. I mean, he used to have the most amazing riffs on his first EP and Shallow Grave. But even compared to those two, the guitar work on Wild Hunt waned a bit, so I'm not surprised that the riffing is a little less inspired. Still love the vocal melodies, though. This song just sounds like another Wild Hunt song; Bright Lanterns I wasn't a huge fan of.
| |
agreed except for the catchy part, only song out of the four that i had stuck in my head like songs from the wild hunt is little brother. but the laid back, mellow feeling of this album probably makes it harder for me to get into as much. either way i'm sure this album would be great if it wasn't for my current expectations, and longing for some of the sound from wild hunt considering its my favorite folk album ever, which isn't very fair to the artist i guess
| |
I always look forward to a new TMOE album because that means there will be some more of his songs for me to learn on guitar.
As always, the man makes musical gold.
| |
^ dunno why, but love is all is so fun to play on guitar. same with king of spain
| |
Geez I love this guy.
| |
what this doesn't sound like 1901 at all
| |
Song rules, can't wait for the new album.
| |
Loved how well he carried the song with his vocal hormonies. Seems like he's getting even better at crafting a very cohesive song. Also really liked that guitar playing in the background.
| |
This is good stuff.
| |
I don't know why you guys are comparing it to his entire last album. I've seen bands put out first singles that were quite antithetical to the bulk of their latest work.
| |
I just finished playing The Gardener to an audience of ZERO up at this park a second and come to a new TMOE song. I like it.
| |
One of his most vibrant and lively songs for me.
| |
Nice.
