Sounds gay.
|
| |
no thanks
|
| |
terrible.
|
| |
so good.
|
| |
It's growing on me. I refuse to lose hope for the new album. It sounds better if you think that it
might be some kind of retro throwback type sound instead of just weird production...
The fanboy inside me just can't hate it. I might even love it.
|
| |
FUCKING LOVE THIS SONG.
|
| |
Definitely not terrible, but not as immediately good as anything off the first album and definitely not the same kind of vibe as anything off that album either. I'm sure it'll grow on me, Nate is a talented vocalist and writer, I was unsure about "Stitch Me Up" at first but that one grew on me pretty quickly. The only song I truly dislike by these guys is their awful Christmas song.
|
| |
Yeah "Stitch Me Up" is flippin awesome. haha, that Christmas song is definitely not the best. It's on my Christmas mix and is pleasant the first few times each year so far, but it's kind of whatever
|
| |
Not too big on the more synth-pop sound but it's not bad, if the rest of the album is only this good then it'll be kind of a let down though. Not even as good as the worst songs off Aim and Ignite.
|
| |
Second listen and it's already growing on me. Came on here before bed to check out the news and "fun. premiere new song" was the best thing I could have read.
|
| |
I hate the "set the world on fieeARE!" hook. Rest of the chorus is bad too though so I guess it fits.
|
| |
Is Janelle Monae really in the song or was I just not paying enough attention?
|
| |
I think she's the focus of the first half of the bridge, and possibly singing with Nate at various points throughout the whole song.
|
| |
i liked the song alot. i like the guys voice and as much as i loved aim and ignite this has more of a steady flow and easier listening.
|
| |
Production is woeful on this track.
|
| |
Ehhh it's alright. Not even close to his best though, or even fun.'s.
|
| |
it's alright, they can do so much better though
|
| |
why hasn't anyone pointed out that fun. isn't very fun. at all
|
| |
you're right they sure can
|
| |
lol
|
| |
"you guys are dumb. this band can do wrong."
Yeah, Light A Roman Candle With Me. I don't like that song very much. Listening to this now.
|
| |
I really miss The Format, when it was Nate and Sam, but oh well...
|
| |
a bit disappointing methinks
|
| |
Ok, I like this song a lot. My one complaint is the "we are young, so let's set the world on fire." Too close to "do you remember when you were young and wanted to set the world on fire," which is already in at least two songs.
|
| |
lyrics sound like angels and airwaves
|
| |
^ true. never thought about that. although you (most likely) mean that in a bad way, i actually like AVA's lyrics, so...
|
| |
Surprised there are so many people on Youtube and Facebook that like it. It's crap.
|
| |
Album is going to suck hard.
|
| |
Surprised there are so many people on Youtube and Facebook that like it. It's crap.
Your surprised people have a different opinion than you? Your in for a sad wake up call one of these days.
|
| |
No, I'm surprised because it's such a different song from anything on Aim & Ignite. I thought it'd alienate more people than it did but I guess they hopped on board regardless.
Way to jump to conclusions buddy. =P
|
| |
Yeah that chorus hook sucked. Rest of the song is okay though.
|
| |
"terrible."
What the fuck? Are you high?
|
| |
Not as good as I was hoping for but better than you guys are making it out to be. The other song they've been playing live rules though
|
| |
"Yeah, Light A Roman Candle With Me. I don't like that song very much. Listening to this now."
That was one of my favorite tracks off aim and ignite
|
| |
my appreciation for fun has definitely followed the bell curve over time. can't really stand anything except for walking the dog anymore. miss the format.
|
| |
"What the fuck? Are you high?"
If I was high I'd say it's pretty good. But I'm not and it isn't.
|
| |
""Yeah, Light A Roman Candle With Me. I don't like that song very much. Listening to this now."
That was one of my favorite tracks off aim and ignite "
It's the only one I never listen to.
|
| |
"No, I'm surprised because it's such a different song from anything on Aim & Ignite. I thought it'd alienate more people than it did but I guess they hopped on board regardless.
Way to jump to conclusions buddy. =P"
Or maybe we just actually enjoy the song? I think he was right about you not liking different opinions"
|
| |
Dude; it's a totally different sound with Nate's vocals even being tweaked. I was positive other
people would dislike it. And I'm sort of right, certainly didn't get the valued praise a new fun.
song normally would.
Yeah, if you like it: fine. All I was implying was that I didn't think other fellow fun.(and Nate
Ruess) fans would like it simply because it's such a different song. Certainly got lukewarm response
here, so...
I'm not saying I didn't think others would like it because I don't. I'm saying I didn't think others
would like it because of the general formality of a fun. song not being this.
|
| |
"Steoandnoodles", you're not even making sense anymore. Just shut up.
|
| |
I get what he's saying. He didn't think people would like it because it's different from what fun. has been in the past.
|
| |
Exactly. So now you see why I'm pulling my hair out trying to explain it. =P
Yeah, I didn't think people would like all the synths and stuff. It's such a sudden change.
See if more people read comments carefully on Sputnik; they might know what's going on *cough Paxman
*cough
|
| |
First fun. song I haven't really liked. Weird
|
| |
The only other new song I've heard by them, "What the Fuck," is seriously great soooo hopefully this is just one of the weaker tracks.
|
| |
Ah well 'What The Fuck' and 'Carry On' are awesome, so I'm just going to count 'We Are Young' as the sleeper for the album. =)
|
| |
i was expecting to hear several dogs taking a shit
but it was just boring
|
| |
Great song.
That hook is huge and very Coldplay-esque.
|
| |
It was okay, not as good as anything off of Aim And Ignite.
|
| |
I though it was pretty good, nothing amazing but a good one.
|
| |
I love fun.
|
| |
What The Fuck better be on the album. I love that song.
|
| |
...Ah crap it's growing on me. =/
|
| |
I don't mind this song, but Monae is totally wasted because of the "na na na na's" over-powering her in the mix.
|
| |
I agree. That whole bridge is totally ruined by the mix. =/
|
| |
Yes!!!!!!! It's growing on you? A lot?
|
| |
Yeah, it's growing on me. I'm even starting to like the hook.
"Set the world on fiiiya!" still not mad on the whole production of it but the base song itself: I like.
|
| |
I'd agree with Stephen on the whole. Unsure I'd want a whole album of that type of sound, but it will interesting to see how they integrate it in if the style generally reverts back to 'A&I'.
|
| |
What I think is that this song will sound distinct. One thing I personally found with A&I was that it
wasn't very coherent in that styles and sounds changed per song, you know?
I think we'll get that on album number two. Each song will sound individual, you know?
Edit: I've gone back to hating 'We Are Young'. It's so bad.
