Proof that both Shadows Fall and Randy Blythe are way past their prime.
|
| |
:/
Guitars are ok, vocals are poopity-doopity though
|
| |
i like the music, but the not the vocals.
|
| |
If that opening riff is Brian Fair's favorite on the record, this release is doomed. But the song is decent imo.
|
| |
it's alright, i guess
|
| |
Sounds like a b-side from The War Within
|
| |
If the entire album sounds like this then I'm in, really digging it, a proper return to form after Threads of Life, like a mix between The Art of Balance and The War Within.
|
| |
QUIT YOUR FUCKING CRYING.
That is such a Randy Blythe thing to say.
|
| |
Randy Blythe makes the song really

Please go back to screaming Mr. Fair. You're ruining good songs.
|
| |
Vocals suck ass. I'm a fan of this band but c'mon, this is pretty bad.
|
| |
I agree that its a 4 minute beat down, but seriously...his vocals are getting old.

The capacity of human intelligence seems to limit the capabilities to expand upon any possible creative aptitudes. Indeed, if one cannot even notice the facets that the ingenuities around him are comprised of, how can he be expected to fashion a beast of his own? This inveterate sense of constraint is a great blow to the veracity of mankind’s abilities. It restrains us and holds our minds to the ground below, averting any possibility of rising above ourselves to something greater; something not fathomed by the conventional mind. This concept of seeking to go beyond one’s self, known as “transcendence”, is essentially a gateway to unlocking pieces of ourselves that can lead to some of the most elaborate and significant creations of our world. For many, this quest to transcend and form creations that were once considered unthinkable and overwhelming consumes life. Certainly it is rare to find such people, but when they are found, creative barriers are destroyed.

WHY DOES SHADOWS NOT RETURN TO SPUTNIK
|
| |
lawl

^ I did, I think this is a good mix of The Art of Balance and The War Within, me and my cousin have high hopes after hearing this. I'm surprised everyone's complaining about the vocals, Brian's not all that bad (nothing special either but I think he receives too much flak, he's like Chuck Billy of Testament, nothing bad or special but his vocals fit the music well), and it sounds similar to their old-mid material which is more than fine for me.
|
| |
Me n Shadows have like identical music wheels.
|
| |
its alright
|
| |
seems like no one here liked shadows
I did when I was into weak thrashy melo-death.
|
| |
Vocals during the non-layered verses need to be a lot more aggressive. Thrash riff + sing/talking vocals = bad. Needs more rawrz plz.

Everyone liked Shadows when he and I were the two people that wrote most of the metal reviews on here. But that was like three years ago lol
|
| |
Since when did people dislike Shadows? He disappeared like right after I joined but his reviews were what made me join the site tbh.
|
| |
Probably since

Yeah that whole review is cringingly pretentious. But that paragraph occupies my favorite quotes section on facebook :thumb:
|
| |
this song is garbage
|
| |
That whole thing actually appeared in two reviews, Blackwater Park and Carriers Of Dust. Not to mention posted in countless soundoffs.
|
| |
Yeah but it's easier to type "that whole review" than "those two reviews"
Actually they have the same amount of characters FML
