I just wrote a very unappreciated thread about the new album. Everything I've based my judgment on has been the bootlegs. I'll have to give this a listen when I get off work. But if the bootlegs are indicative of anything this is going to be atrocious, bible-campfire music.

Yeah that pretty much sums it up, redsky. I don't know what to think of this.
It wasn't bad in and of itself but compared to any of their other albums it just sucked.

It's easier to get into than Brother, Sister. It lacks some of the originality Brother, Sister had, but I like it.

The vocals have taken a major turn for the worse, but I didn't mind the piano line... well, for the first hundred times it was repeated. This really isn't a patch on any of Brother, Sister, but at least it shows willingness to change their sound. Just a shame it's a poorly executed change.

This is possibly my least favorite mewithoutyou song. Not a terrible song but....not what my ears wanted I guess. I'll still try to keep an open mind about the new cd despite some of the comments about it.This Message Edited On 04.09.09

Didn't think it was so bad and then I went down the page and listened to 'Paper Hanger'. I really hope they don't throw away all the old style for this type of song.
