Timberlake Album Producers

2006-01-22 by Dave de Sylvia EMERITUS | 6 Comments
Justin Timberlake has taken to working with three producers for his second solo album, expected some time this year on Jive Records. Continuing his association with Timberlake is genre-defining rapper and producer Timbaland, who produced a number of tracks on Timberlake's debut 'Justified,' including the hit single 'Cry Me A River.'

Also lending their hand to the production of the album are legendary heavy metal/hip-hop producer Rick Rubin and will.i.am of the Black Eyed Peas, who will handle production on approximately half of the album.

The latter has formed a production duo with Timberlake, named 'Jawbreakers.' In addition to their work on Timberlake's own album, they produced a set of songs on Macy Gray's forthcoming album, to be released on will.i.am's own sub-label on Interscope Records.

On the new songs, will.i.am said, "He just surprised me again. I was surprised that I was even going to like Justin Timberlake. Then he turned me into a fan, and I've become a fan. That means you are so talented that you are changing people's vocabulary. Hat's off, skull off and scalp."

Justin Timberlake's debut album 'Justified' was released in 2002. To date, it's sold over 3.5 million copies, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

This is awesome, I've been waiting for a new album since the release of his last one, and I guess it will have been 4 years between by the time he releases this.

I think his songs with Timbaland were the best on the album... I don't really keep track of the producers but I think he was the one who produced "Cry me a River".

I'm surprised he's not working with the Neptunes, they were a big part of the success of his album.

Though I personally don't like the Black Eyed Peas will.i.am is pretty talented and "Where is the Love?" was a decent combination so that shouldn't turn out too bad.

Looking forward to it.This Message Edited On 01.22.06

Nice, I'm not Timberlake fan but the news is still exciting.
By the way, the first time I glanced at the picture I burst out laughing.

Fact: celebrities do not know how to dress. Doesn't affect their music, however.
