Vagrant Signs HORSE The Band

2009-02-02 by dukes | 11 Comments
Southern California self-styled "metaphysical DIY badasses" Horse The Band have signed to Vagrant Records. The group will head into the studio in March to record their fourth full-length album for midsummer release.

“Finally we can breathe as humans breathe, walk as humans walk,” says vocalist Nathan Winneke. “Band as horses band,” chimes in drummer Daniel Pouliot. Keyboardist Erik Engstrom comments, “Vagrant Records has been home to so many of our favorite bands. Now (9, 8, and 7 years after I sent them our first, second, and third demos respectively) the label has renewed their holy vows to ‘excellence’ by signing us.”

I love Horse the Band. SO much BETTER than Band of Horses.
Good on them for getting signed to Vagrant.

Well, they are like right at the bottom of a 60+ band bill at the Soundwave Festival.

They just came back from a world tour that they headlined as well that went all over the place.
Was really successful as far as I can tell

John, I was replying to the opening comment after the news item was posted.
It's not an editorial... Just stating fact.

Their video for Murder is a video of one of their shows in the world tour. I think it was the show in Bulgaria or something of the sort.

a natural death was weird. and when i saw these guys live nathan had told me that (and i quote) "the new album is going to be some of our heaviest stuff yet" (talking about a natural death of course). and it wasn't...
...for those of you not tuned in with the bible, that would make him a LIAR!

People who follow the Bible to a letter scare me. And Natural Death DID have some of their heaviest stuff ever, guy.
