What is up with some of these artists putting their band's album in their lists? So lame ...
|
| |
Whoa, I hadn't noticed that. That is INCREDIBLY lame
|
| |
God damn... fuck the lists. That Lauren Kufta (New Media Coordinator) is kind of hot. Not many chicks that listen to Opeth look like that...

What kind of douchebag puts Mozart's Requiem on a best of 2008 list? The same guy who puts his own fuckin' album in its company. Matt Heafy, ladies and gentlemen.
And Willie, that chick looks kind of busted. This Message Edited On 01.07.09

haha, Heafy put himself on his list.
2/3 of Portnoy's list sucks but the rest of it is great.
|
| |
Yeah, Matt Heafy has sunk to new lows. I wonder if the rest of the band has considered dropping him.
Ha ha, yeah she does but it's about 4am and I'm at work surfing the net on a monitored computer so that's about as good as it can get right now ;)
|
| |
lol the other Trivium dude's list also has their album at 10. Very classy.
|
| |
Rofl, you'd think being in a band and all they'd listen to something other than mainstream garbage.
|
| |
One more person puts C3 on their top ten and their heads = off.
|
| |
Why are Trivium on there lol
|
| |
Foley's obviously a Sputnik member.
|
| |
huuuuge wdf @ some1 from nickelback listening to meshuggah
|
| |
Foley's list is by far the best there.
|
| |
some of these bands listen to absolute faggotry
|
| |
I really lol'd@Rich Perkins list, especially this.
"Dark Horse makes the list as a token of my gratitude for allowing me to keep a steady job in a declining industry for the past 7 years. Thank you boys, here's to another 10 million units!"
|
| |
I like Portnoy's list. We have similar taste :D
|
| |
@Masochist: lol yeah, I saw Cynic at number one and thought: "The Sputnik dudes will like this".
|
| |
Any picture i've seen from Heafy in a magazine, he's sporting a Burzum or Dissection t-shirt. Two Coldplay albums? Yeah, fuck Heafy. Rob Flynn egually has the worst top 10 next to Heafy but Ron Burman and Justin Foleys are good.
|
| |
First 2 on Heafy's list are just inexcusable. Plus putting himself on is just retarded.

Haha so true. Apparently he is a Black Metal fanboy. Guess his list tells the real truth.
Justin Foley's list is pretty awesome though. This Message Edited On 01.07.09

if the foley guy had torche instead of the slip it would be even better
|

Someone send Roadrunner a copy of 'For Emma, Forever Ago'.
|

Justin Foley is the man

Someone send Roadrunner a copy of 'For Emma, Forever Ago'.
Or just email them a link to 'Soundtrack For a Vacant Life',

I would love to have put the new Oasis album on this list. Alas, it is shit, just like everything else they've done since Morning Glory.
lollllllllllllllllllllllllllllz
apart from that little gem, mostly toss
|
| |
lol, the one below it is pretty funny as well:
7. Metallica - Death Magnetic
Ok, so maybe it's not as hard on the ears as St Anger. But to be honest, I just put this on my list so I can disparage it. Fuck You, Metallica. You guys have more money than god at this point, so do us all a favor and retire. Learn to play golf, buy a fishing boat, do something. This contrived angst from a bunch of skull-jockeyed 45 year old millionaires is beyond tiresome. You used to be the best. You aren't anymore. In fact, you haven't been in a long, long time. Now you're like an ex-girlfriend who fucked my buddy and won't stop giving me the eyes. You're trying way too hard and it's totally not attractive. You just ain't what you used to be. Go away.
And yes, this is the 3rd Roadrunner release in my top 10...and it is not due to any kind of shameless self-plugging or ***-kissing...they just happen to have the best metal roster around and are the best label on Earth...which is why we made them DT's home!
Gay.
|

Portnoy's is 50/50 for me (especially great with PTH), but Heafy's is just crap. Shame, considering Trivium have finally managed to get themselves together and write a good album.
|
| |
I'm not arguing with some of the choices on the list (Cynic,PTH,Opeth,Metallica) It's more just his RR ass-kissing.
|
| |
Rob Flynn, lulz.
|
| |
I'm surprised Heafy didn't say,
1. Trivium - Shogun
2. Trivium - Shogun
3. Trivium - Shogun
etc.
when you put yourself on a list like that, you're probably thinking that.
|
| |
I'm a little disappointed in Portnoy's list. Mainly for putting Death Magnetic at number one but also for even including Slipknot and Trivium. All Hope is Gone better than Watershed or Traced in Air... I think not.
|
| |
mike portnoy has always seemed like a tool
|
| |
Now now guys. Heafy may have put himself on his own list, but he only put it at #10. That takes real modesty.
|
| |
That Lauren Kufta (New Media Coordinator) is kind of hot Agreed. And as for that guy who put Metallica in his top ten only to bash it, that was pretty ignorant.
|
| |
lol at heafy putting his own album in his list
|
| |
oh and bonus lols for portnoy saying protest the hero is influenced by his band
|
| |
Its stupid when people try to say "well he should of said this" when we all have different tastes in music and not everyone justlistens to "brutal" metal.
