| | | lolwhut
i never disagree with the number one spot on these mags this much.
and acid tongue being in the top 100? what the fuck, that album was boring and a let down for people like me.

at least nick cave is on here without katy perry to worry about.
| | | 3. 11 & 24 are friggen brilliant
1 & 12 are really good too.
| | |
black kids are one of the worst bands i have ever heard in my life
This. I don't understand why they're even on the list.
| | | What is with this Carter III fad?
| | | "29. AC/DC, Black Ice
30. Portishead, Third"
lolsrsly?
| | | At least they have 20
| | | these lists make me want to cry... Kings of Leon, #1 wtf!
Keane? AC/DC (let alone above portishead)? Black Kids? Oasis? Wasn't that Black Mountain album from last year? Coldplay at #3? AC/DC? KEANE? Jack Johnson?
My head is spinning.

as
shit
| | | The Paul Weller one was a let down. good to see LSP on here. I was actually gonna get the kings of leon one, is it any good?
| | | Mellencamp still makes music?This Message Edited On 11.29.08
| | | Coldplay rated high was expected. Oh well, at least theirs was a decent one this year. Seriously though, Portishead deserve to be higher. AC/DC too ugh.. Get real
| | | black kids was so so bad. List could have been better without all the obvious crap sprinkled in
| | | why metallica but not gnr? the new metallica had like 2 great songs....
| | | neither of them should be on the list tbh
| | | I stopped reading at 1. Kings of Leon, Only the Night
| | | WHERES THE METAL FFS
| | | Kings of Leon is very overrated.
Black Ice was terrible.
Where is Cynic?!
Did they make this before Chinese Democracy came out? That album was better than a lot on here.
I AM SO HAPPY TO SEE THE RACONTEURS ON HERE. They do not get near enough credit as they deserve. #9 is slightly high, but I'm not gonna argue it.
| | | hahaha
Kings of Leon #1
hahahaha.
| | | @thebhoy
it leaked in 2007, released january 21th of 2008
@druggiedougie
cynic isnt on that list because no one who reads Q probably knows who they are. not a knock on them, but if they did a list with a REAL cross-section of 2008, it'd probably be half obscure things who's impact won't be felt till next year or years down the road.
remember that the velvet underground and nico was panned by critics for the first few decades of it's existance, and is now considered a classic.
| | | I don't understand the seemingly complete dislike of KoL, I mean I don't think that they should be number 1 but they definitely deserve to be in the top 20 or 30. Anyway, this list does make me lol more often then some of the other lists
| | | I never expected RAZORLIGHT to make any Top 50 Best of 2008 list. That instantly makes this entire list dubious.
| | | 29. AC/DC, Black Ice
made me lol
| | | Why not the new Avantasia? I know why. Because mainstream music publications SUCK.
| | |
AC/DC, Black Ice
made me lol
| | | @rnr
or because no one cares about power metal.
| | | Sorry, but I personally hated this list so much, it got me very very mad.
FUCK THIS LIST
| | | Thought the Goldfrapp album came out in '07?
If not, that's in my top 10. :D
| | | Yeah, I don't trust this list at all.
| | | I saw #1 and immediately disregarded this whole list.
Epic fail. 'Cept TV on the Radio. Gah, why do I keep putting off listening to Dear Science??
| | | I don't see 'Rising Down' by The Roots . This list fails, except for TV on The Radio and Coldplay.
| | | Conor Oberst's album should be so much higher. I can dig Vampire Weekend in the top 5 though.
