MOJO's Top 50 of 2008

2008-11-29 by Iai EMERITUS | 15 Comments
Bored of these lists yet? No? Good. The thinking/older man's music magazine has published its very own top 50 albums of 2008. All the MOJO trademarks are present, including the token nods to metal, electronica, jazz, and African music, the lofty praise given to average albums by long-established artists, and the belief that if an Oasis album isn't complete crap, then it should probably be in a list of some sort.

I jest, of course. It's much better than most of these things, at any rate.

The Top 50 is as follows -

50. Oasis - Dig Out Your Soul

Fleet Foxes has been getting a lot of love.

It's nice to see The Black Keys and Beck on the list. Danger Mouse had a great 2008.

I agree with this list more than the others so far, but I still think its leaving out some fantastic metal albums obviously...

They have Fucked Up's album on here, this negates the whole list. Fail.
