MCR Live DVD details

2008-05-09 by ninjuice | 8 Comments
Pop punkers My Chemical Romance have set a release date and title for their long awaited live CD and DVD release. The Black Parade is Dead [Live] is scheduled to be released June 24th of this year.

An "extra fancy version" will reportedly feature "death certificates for each member, hand painted 'Day of the Dead' masks and three downloadable live tracks" inside of a pinewood coffin.

The release will feature live performances from the huge Palacio de los Deportes sports arena in Mexico City as well as Maxwell's Club in Hoboken, NJ (both of which happened in October 2007). Adam Rothlein, who has worked with Green Day, Disturbed, System of a Down and The All-American Rejects, directed the DVD.

The 12 year old kid in me says that their whole gimmick is actually kind of cool.

But it really isn't.

I might get this, but the masks look pretty crappy, so I don't know.

I concur. But let me say the show they played on this tour in Maryland was incredible. Their whole gimmick was so well played/acted/performed it was shockingly believable. Really excited for this.
