Yellowcard on Hiatus

2008-04-25 by Athom EMERITUS | 19 Comments
In a recent interview Yellowcard vocalist, Ryan Key, announced the band's plans for a hiatus following their current tour.

"We are calling it an "Indefinite Hiatus." After this tour, so, I don't know. It could be a year, 10 years, or 6 months. It's been an interesting time in this business and our record label. It's just. We kind of need a break. I think it appears everything is ok on its surface but we definitely need a little bit of time to figure out our personal lives."

Maybe a permanent break? I don't think anyone would really miss them.

Yellowcard is one of the more talented mainstream pop-punk bands. I hope they will come back with something along the lines of Lights and Sounds

they definetly have some amazing stuff like see they're song gifts and curses thats incredible stuff, but along with having some really solid stuff they have put out like 3 cds that sound very similar & quite average. i really hope they dont break up but instead take some time to re examine themselves & put out a breathetaking cd that i know they have in them.

There really not a bad band, some enjoyable songs within their discography, although I'm not heartbroken from this news, I did enjoy them a little and I'm a bit saddened by this.

How disappointing. I felt there best effort was in Paper Walls because that album was excellent. Right after making sucha good album now here on hiatus.

I could care less, they were one of the less annoying pop bands, though
