Axl Brings Democracy to China

2008-04-11 by Meatplow | 21 Comments
Axl Rose & his current Guns n' Roses bandmates have finally delivered Chinese Democracy to Geffen records after 14 years of production and $13,000,000 spent. The promotion offered from soft drink giant Dr. Pepper last month promising a free can of drink to every man, woman and child in America may have just been the catalyst for Axl to get himself in motion and finalise mixing on what countless punters have already determined will be the biggest white elephant in the history of recorded music.

Ya, I thought Chinese Democracy was already in Geffen's hands.

I'm still in denial that the album even exists.

^Yeah really. I'll believe it when I see it. Hopefully this is for real so we don't have to hear about it anymore.

I'm pretty excited to see the media frenzy when it is released

Also, all the demos I have heard sounded pretty good and I will probably buy this

I bet they all sat around and were like, "ok, we know we'll never actually release a legitimate cd again with Slash gone...so we'll just make a bunch of big hype for a big hoax that we supposedly spent $13,000,000 on and name it something that will never happen...i.e. democracy in China."

I'm hoping it becomes the official soundtrack to this year's Olympic games.

Axl to perform at the opening ceremonies?

I don't know why everyone cares so much about this. Theres two possible situations. 1) The album doesn't even exist (which is what I'm leaning toward), or 2) The album is released and it sucks. And yes, if it is released, it WILL suck, and most likely be forgotten several months after its released. Hell, it would be forgotten now if Axl would stop makign these BS claims about it that he won't fufill.

But still, I'm suprised how Axl can blow smoke up the public's ass about this for years (promising inumerous release dates), and people STILL care about this when a new promise is made, its amazing.

Anyone who says it doesn't exist is just dumb as hell

I guess it's the people that still think Guns n Roses were and hope will again be the hawt shiet.

Still, I'm curious how the story develops.
