Meh. While System was cool enough, I could go the rest of my days without hearing new SOAD. Or Scars On Broadway, for that matter.

This definately sucks in a way as System has always been one of my favorite bands, but if they were to continue writing the crap that was Hypnotize I would prefer they quit. If they would've called it quits after Steal This Album they would've left on a high note cause they went downhill drastically after that album, even though I like Mezmerize.

I like their self-titled and Toxicity was pretty good, but I think they just got more annoying over time.

System was one of the bands that got me into the material I listen to now. This is a bit disappointing for me because even though Mesmerize and Hypnotize were my least two favorite SOAD albums, Holy Mountains is my second favorite SOAD song.

I always wanted to see them live, preferably before Hypnotize came out as that was a horrific album.

Shame they aren't going to get it back together, none of their projects now will be as good (that said though, Serj's solo album is a pretty good effort).

I actually like Hypnotise . It's a great album with some really good songs on it. It's just as good as the rest of their albums

I didn't even know they were broken up. Oh well, they have a couple of nice tracks but I'm not too sad about this.

I really don't believe him, I think this is something so that when they do get back together, people will be more surprised or something.

Even if it is true though, I'm not too disappointed. I liked them ok, but, like others said, the last two albums weren't great. I'm also liking Serj's solo stuff.

Toxicity was their best, followed by Mezmerize, STA, s/t, and Hypnotize. These guys are one of my favorite bands, but I wouldn't mind if they got together without Daron. He was a good songwriter for a while but the riffs on Hypnotize were so generic and boring. Can that guy Arto play guitar at all? They should bring him in.

They were entertaining for the time that they were together. Their last 2 albums were really good and on that note, they go out on a high note!

Their latest album wasn't that good at all....

They made some great albums in their early days though.

I enjoyed Hyp. and Mez.! But their s/t is one of the greatest nu-metal releases ever!

Hmmmm, genuine might be the wrong word IMO, but they obviously put their hearts (at least Serj did. Daron always struck me as an insincere, obnoxious little weasel.) into what they did.

I thought their selftitled was great even though Toxicity is better, hell even Mezmerize was rly good.

By now Daron has probably realized that his horrific vocal performance on Hypnotize particularly wasn't well recieved but still won't let Serj do the lead vox on a future album because of his cockiness.

I wish they would at least get together for one more album/tour. Breakingup after Hypnotize would be ending on a low note. thier worst IMO though it isn't that bad.

The self-titled was great, it was a steady decline after that. I won't miss them.

I'm not too concerned... their first two albums were good but once the guitar player got controlling and wanted to sing all of the time too... god, those albums were awful.

Besides, we all know that once their solo careers tank that they'll reunite.

Too bad, I love these guys. Ya, there a few really good songs on Hypnotize, but I;d say about 2/3rd's of it is filler. Mezmerize is really good though.

Personally, I think Daron is a bit of a cock. He sang way too much on the last two albums, considering his voice is utterly horrible. Clearly just being the guitarist isn't good enough for him. Egotistical bastard.

I would love to see SOAD live as well. Maybe when Scars on Broadway flops, they will reunite.

Serj Tankian sucks as a solo artist and as for Scars On Broadway, I haven't even given them the time of day.

I hope they get back together for at least one more album. Hypnotize may not be as good as their earlier albums but it still isn't bad in my opinion. I would like to hear more from them.
