Saw Circa on the Kerrang Tour with Coheed and others on Tuesday, they were awesome.
Thrice would be cool, if they'd come to NEWCASTLE!!!!

I'm going to the Cincy show on the 20th (my birthday) as a present from a friend. I'm hoping they'll play a couple of songs from AA Vol 3 & 4.

Unfortunately they'll still be playing with Say Anything (ugh); I wish to hell Circa Survive and Pelican were part of the Winter tour. Oh well, maybe I'll just show up late. This Message Edited On 02.07.08

I had actually never even heard of Say Anything before seeing the billing for the Thrice show, so I looked them up, expecting to discover another band in the vein of Thrice (hard, melodic, intelligent rock).

I was pretty surprised and dissapointed to find they didn't sound a thing like Thrice. IMO they are just another mediocre, sugar-coated emo/pop-punk band like My Chemical Fall Out at the Disco.

Hell, maybe I'll see them live and have my mind blown and world view turned upside-down...but I doubt it.This Message Edited On 02.07.08

Ramrod. Say Anything are nothing like the bands you mentioned at all.

And yes, they should come to Australia.

Say Anything are nothing like the bands you mentioned at all.

I'll give you Say Anything has a bit more variety in their sound and style, using some electronic elements and so forth, but for my money, Max Bemis just sounds way too much like Gerard Way on most of their songs, and they're still an emo/pop-punk band at the core (two genres I greatly dislike and stay away from for the most part).

I guess in the end I'm just venting my anger at Circa Survive's and Pelican's not being at the show I'm attending, as I like these bands a great deal. This Message Edited On 02.09.08

Dude I hate how tours like this rarely, if ever, come to Ohio. I would've really loved to see them and Pelican in one show.
