My Bloody Vinyltine

2007-11-26 by Dave de Sylvia EMERITUS | 6 Comments
My Bloody Valentine's manager Vinita Joshi has confirmed that My Bloody Valentine's long-awaited reunion album will not be released on CD. The album, which is yet to be recorded, will be a digital release, with a probably vinyl release to follow.

Billboard.com quotes Ms. Joshi: "At the moment, all I can say is that Kevin [Shields] is getting the band back together and they will go into the studio next month to work on the new record. The plan is that they will release the album themselves via the Internet, but there will also probably be a vinyl release."

She added that it was unlikely the group would follow Radiohead down the pay-what-you-like route.

I like records because they are more personable and probably would have bought it on vinyl anyway so hooray.

Mmhmmm, well, look at that.

At least they're getting into the studio soon, sick.

Wait, I thought he had the record recorded and was prepping it for a release before 2008. I can't see that happening if they they're not even in the studio.

Either way, I'm ridiculously excited for this, and its probably a good place to start buying vinyl.

I'm so sorry the album will be all about autoplagiarism... they would have been such a better band if they have stayed apart.
