They totally got ripped off.... I wonder if this rapper is actually a fan of the band or if someone just brought the melodies in and didn't tell him.
|
| |
I bet someone just brought the melodies and didn't tell him.
|
| |
mainstream rappers probably don't write their background music, so some production guy probably brought it in.
|
| |
Pretty funny. It's the exact same melody from Mourning Palace, just in a different key.
|
| |
lol. retard
|
| |
"yeah yeah, yeayeyeah yeah yeah.......yeah.....yeah yeah...yeah yeah"
what a 'tard.
|
| |
hes gonna be pissed if he had no part in it. i'm sure hes never even heard a song from dimmu, let alone stole their melodies on purpose. oh well, sucks for him
|
| |
What if Dimmu DID record a rap album? I wonder if it would be as corny as their metal shit...
|
| |
Satanic black rap.
|
| |
that dude had sick german flow.... and it did make for a pretty sick beat
|
| |
Dimmu is horrible, why would someone rip off such awful music? This Message Edited On 11.01.07

Satanic black rap.
Dude, I would totally buy that. Well maybe not buy it. But steal it. Maybe.
|
| |
It's most obvious the Mourning Palace one, but yeah. This guy's a thief, I'm almost sure of it.
|
| |
The title scared me. I Actually thought they were going to make a rap album. That was silly of me. But they should sue that rapper for stealing that withouth permission.
|
| |
 This is great
|
| |
what could you expect from such a band?
|
| |
They totally stole the melodies from both songs
ANd safetysynyster:
What's the point of coming here just to bash dimmu? Go listen to your "Gunslinger" nonsense
|
| |
Obvious melody stealing has occurred. You don't have to have a keen ear to pick up on this one - I'm surprised at how obvious it is.
|
| |
Dimmu is horrible, why would someone rip off such awful music?
wow you really didnt just say that. dimmu borgir is one of the best black metal bands. their newer stuff kinda sucks but their old stuff is killer
|
| |
What does that mean, you have 7x at the end of your name. oh boy
and dimmu sucks
|
| |
The first track isn't actually Bushido as far as I can tell... the melody is exactly the same though.
The similarity is not so clear for the second one as far as I can tell, but it's definately the assface Bushido.
I hate this guy with a flaming passion, as he is an idiot son of an asscrack....
|
| |
Yeah, it's me
How's you?
|
| |
Bushido are pretty good.
Won the EMA for best German group...again....
|
| |
What does that mean, you have 7x at the end of your name.
*shrugs* Just a name I've used for awhile. I do like avenged sevenfold, but I can disprove of their material, and I like other bands moreThis Message Edited On 11.02.07

I think sampling should be free and legal. A lot of music copyright laws don't serve to protect anyone's "rights" but to fill the pockets of label executives. Seriously, fuck the music industry and all it stands for.
|
| |
Assface Bushido probably hasnt ever heard of Dimmu. But i dont think he is to blame coz most of his stuff isnt written buy him
|
| |
So.....which Dimmu Borgir member secretley listened to this rap to find out about this similairity?
:o
:-
|
| |
lol I bet it was Galder
|
| |
It probably was Nuclear Blast that notified Dimmu.
|
| |
I agree with the general opinion in here.
Both artists suck balls.
|
| |
wow you really didnt just say that. dimmu borgir is one of the best black metal bands. their newer stuff kinda sucks but their old stuff is killer
Too bad they aren't black metal.
|
| |
O_o
What would they be if not black metal? I do believe they are acknowledged as a black metal band...but then again I'm not into disputing genre.
|
| |
I own Bushido's 'Elektro Ghetto' Album...I use it to confuse the G's in southside...
|
| |
What does that mean, you have 7x at the end of your name. Owned.
Dimmu is awful, The old material is bad too.
|
| |
Shouldnt all rappers get sued these days for ripping off everyones music and making them into retarded samples?
|
| |
Shouldnt all rappers get sued these days for ripping off everyones music and making them into retarded samples? I'd have to dispute that for selfish reasons... Industrial music benefited considerably back when they could freely use short samples of other audio recordings. Now that they can't, a lot of the new industrial feels like it's lacking.
|
| |
That's because industrial sucks in general
|
| |
When you don't like an entire genre of music, it pretty much makes your opinion on that genre void...
|
| |
^True, true.
|
| |
as a producer, i have sampled a few melodies from metal in my hip-hop tracks. its not stealing, its flaterry. i really like metal, so ill sample melodies i think will work will in a hip-hop track. its just sad some bands cant take the compliment. i guess to some people its more about money than the music. maybe its just me but ill never understand that.
|
| |
as a producer,
LOL
That line never gets old
its not stealing,
Correct! BUT WITHOUT PERMISSION, it's musical plagiarism, and in a sense, that denotes stealingThis Message Edited On 11.04.07

Its fine untill you sell it as your own. Basically its like stealing parts of someone elses term paper, etc. Its not your work, therefore you should not get credit for it. How come you can
t come up with something yourself, if you can't, you don't deserve to make money.
|
| |
"How come you cant come up with something yourself"
You clearly arent a huge hip-hop fan. if you knew a little bit about where it came from, the culture, and the art of sampling you wouldnt say that. But its ok if you dont get it.
btw the term paper analogy doesnt really work. sit down with someone while they produce a hip-hop track. understand the roots of sampling. its interesting and theres a little more to it. its quite an interesting culture.
"LOL

yeah if u hadnt guessed i dont know how to properly quote people on here. ahah. But yeah. id care about that remark if i wasnt such a sarcastic and cynical prick myself. lol.
i love how you can post a comment and people can just pick u apart from the stupidest things sometimes.

"That's because industrial sucks in general"
That was so irrelevant!

Yes, I'm sure you know more about that culture than EVERYONE ELSE on this site. We bow down to your never-ending track-producing wisdom.
yeah if u hadnt guessed i dont know how to properly quote people on here. ahah.
...And that is precisely why a small amount of HTML knowledge goes a very long way.
"That's because industrial sucks in general"

Now, now, wizard; let the haters do their hating. It's probably how they get off.
|
| |
It's funny because there is a serious possibility that Dimmu's keyboardist during Stormblast actually ripped of the piano meldoy in Alt Lys... himself. Sorgens Kammer is ripped off on that album, and I'm almost certain that I read tht Alt Lys is too.

Sorry, I lose my mind over ignorance sometimes.

Wow, so plagerism is now an art?
