Fucking sucks man. The RNB GOAT is gone
|
| |
One of my favorite artists across all genres. May he rest in peace and his music live on forever. Those who have never heard of him, please check him out
|
| |
I cannot wait to hear that record for real. RIP to a legend from my city
|
| |
The world of music is absolutely suffering this year.
|
| |
unbelievable rip
|
| |
Was planning on seeing him at roots picnic in May and he ended up canceling and being replaced by Maxwell, guess this is why. Huge RIP. Such an artist and a guy that always was larger than life to me. He left some incredible music behind. Very sad day, a true legend.

2025 sucks, RIP legend
|

Jesus. Wouldn’t wish pancreatic cancer on my worst enemy. RIP.
|
| |
Pure fking talent
RIP
|
| |
Big rip
|
| |
Had a scare myself earlier this year. Take your health seriously and push hard for ct scans and imaging if you have any abdominal pain lasting longer than a few days. Pancreatic cancer is extremely hard to detect and you’d be lucky to live more than a year if diagnosed late. It’s horrific. Rip to an absolute legend.

fuck...

I am posting here out of respect, I figured he was a rapper or r&B. I just took this quick clip:
D'Angelo was a singular talent who collaborated with the likes of Jay-Z, Snoop Dogg and Q-Tip ... after bursting onto the scene in 1995 with his solo debut album, "Brown Sugar."
He won 4 Grammys, including Best R&B Album for "Voodoo" in 2001 and "Black Messiah" in 2016. He also won Best R&B Song in 2016 for "Really Love" and Best Male R&B Vocal Performance for "Untitled (How Does It Feel)."
I don't know who he was, but he did work with Snoop Dogg. Seemed like a helpful person in that circle.

rip to a legend of his scene

what in the fuck is this, RIP to an actual living legend

I know I did Bob Newhart that some, I wanted to make I did the italics right. I never knew D'Angelo personally, but somehow his voodoo influenced peopled in a good way.
|
| |
RIP my talented birthday buddy
He was working on a 4th studio album this year too
Since he was in the studio since late May, I wonder how far into it he got before being too sick to continue
Re-jammed both Brown Sugar and Black Messiah yesterday, prob giving Voodoo a run through today
|
| |
Huge loss, huge RIP.
|

rip
|

Incredibly sad, so young... Brown Sugar will always be a classic in my book. R.I.P.
|
| |
incredibly sad to hear, rip to the best of the best
|
| |
Sad as fuck man, especially to pancreatic cancer. There's no going back on that one, its a death sentence. Way too young. Brown Sugar and Voodoo will always be classics, I totally remember being a kid and seeing all the girls thirsting for him when the Untitled video dropped on MTV. Voodoo was a game changer though.
One of the absolute kings of that mid to late 90s-00s R&B sound. R.I.P.

| |
