If I didn’t know these guys were from the States, I would be 99% sure they were Central Europeans, most probably Austrians.
For an appreciable part of the album, their riffs are reenacting 19th century waltzes, on the same level with underground classics such as the first Nahtrunar (an Austrian black metal band) album.
A far more palpable indication; the album art is a depiction of a Goethe poem by a Baltic German painter called Julius von Klever.
Don't let this slip through the cracks.

-- Is that band name an Osten Ard reference?
Just looked it up, and apparently, it's affirmative.
