Those squeaky high-pitched lead lines are really aesthetically unpleasant. Not that that's necessarily a bad thing for BM, but I don't know what to think of that guitar tone.

Agreed, when I listened to the first single, I thought it was due to the shitty YT compression, but the motif persists throughout the album.
