2022-02-19 by tinathefatlard | 8 Comments
Canadian Goth Wave band, The Birthday Massacre has dropped their latest album, Fascination today, February 18, 2022.

The band has recently suffered the loss of their manager and dear friend, Terry McManus. Per the band’s Facebook page:

“We appreciate the kind words over the last couple of weeks. It has been a very difficult and sad time for us, and the words of support and love that you all have sent us have been an incredible comfort and help. We are so grateful for all of you. Thank you so very much. Terry was wonderful and always worked extremely hard. One thing he thing he said really has resonated with us. "Always move forward". So despite everything, we keep moving. And we are going to do it with you”

The band will embark on a US tour that kicks off on February 24th in New York.

You can hear the album in it’s entirety here.

Absolutely love the album. Only things I would have liked would be one heavier song or some of Chibi’s creepy whispers

Awesome album. Probably their best since Hide and Seek, IMO.

They found yet another purple, damn

"also some older songs are heavy af legit"

Not properly "heavy" but check the song Under the Stairs if you haven't!
And if you want to hear them do some kind of industrial deathrock, check the song Dead off the Imagica remaster

I felt the vocals had become too restrained on some recent albums, but this one is rubbing me the right way. Love this band.
