R.I.P. Stephen Sondheim 2021-11-27 by Brendan Schroer EMERITUS | 9 Comments | Legendary American composer and lyricist Stephen Sondheim has passed away at the age of 91. His cause of death has yet to be revealed.
Sondheim is regarded as one of the most influential and well-respected figures in 20th-century musical theater. His extensive list of works includes Follies, Sweeney Todd, Into the Woods, West Side Story, and several more. His achievements and awards include nine Tony awards, eight Grammy awards, a Pulitzer prize, and the 2015 Presidential Medal of Freedom.
