Pretty straightforward by Obscura standards, I love it.

Mixed opinions on the singles so far - here's hoping they mesh well as a complete album.

r/conspiracy has become one of the few subs for non-kool-aid drinking Redditors. Many of the "conspiracies" discussed there were covered during Friday's FDA hearing on the booster shots by doctors, scientists, and other field experts providing data.

Unlike those posts written by edgy teens, mine is more uplifting and truthful. Morals, you see, are much harder to figure out. If you really do believe that nothing matters, then that in itself is a moral. This creates a paradox. Sounds strange, right. Lemme break it down. Morals are strong beliefs and if you believe that nothing matters or that morals don't exist, then you're believing in a paradox that isn't true. Okay, so if morals exist, what methods could we use to search for them? The answer is simple; we actively look for them. This is called Active Nihilism. Now, there's a difference between found and searching. One has been solved, while the other is still being solved. Methods to find morals are easy to use and understand but finding them is whole other ballpark. Math is one such way of a proof for morals. The belief in those numbers helped us create technologies never seen before. However, how do we find true morals through math? Nobody knows. That's why we keep searching. Anyways, prove me wrong. Morals do exist.

This didn’t even sound like Obscura. That must be why I enjoyed it.

I get slightly more tech, mid-era Bloodbath-vibes. Not bad though. I always felt like when they stripped back their sound they produced better results.

I like it. The vocals are an interesting change from past Obscura tracks. I'm excited to hear how the new album holds up with all the new bandmates. One thing's for certain...Obsidious is gonna bang!

they're not gonna break into non-tech death fans' tastes, so not sure why they are doing boring stuff. melody not great either, miss the noodley bass

"Check out our newest OBSCURA single "Devoured Usurper" and see us in full early 90s Florida Death Metal worship mode. One of my favorite songs we did so far."

That Eternity's End album is going to be some far-out shrapnel-style extreme neoclassical shred stuff, not sure if I'll be able to stomach it.

I felt something similar when I heard the song but I don't know their stuff.
