New Carcass Single

2021-06-18 by Fernando Alves STAFF | 28 Comments
British death metallers Carcass released the first single, 'Kelly's Meat Emporium', off their upcoming seventh album Torn Arteries, out September 17th via Nuclear Blast Records. The official visualizer video can be viewed below.

Jeff Walker comments: “I think as our 7th album, it does stand out from the others both sonically and stylistically. You can definitely tell that it’s CARCASS; when you drop that needle on the vinyl, when you hear that guitar tone, you can tell it’s Bill Steer, but each album is always a product of its time.”

Torn Arteries tracklist:

1. Torn Arteries
2. Dance of Ixtab (Psychopomp & Circumstance March No. 1)
3. Eleanor Rigor Mortis
4. Under the Scalpel Blade
5. The Devil Rides Out
6. Flesh Ripping Sonic Torment Limited
7. Kelly’s Meat Emporium
8. In God We Trust
9. Wake Up and Smell the Carcass / Caveat Emptor
10. The Scythe’s Remorseless Swing

i love how they've cultivated an identity out of both gore and vegan/vegetarianism. that album art is so sick.

This was pretty good. I liked the gutturals. I do think they've kinda pigeonholed themselves musically though. Still, could be stuck playing worse kinds of music.

sounds good, snare is a bit lost in the mix but otherwise the production is nice and fat and the song is pretty decent, reminds me of the carcass-clones like Impaled more than Carcass themselves

nope, they were all recorded during the sessions for this

“Well the COVID situation has put the release of the new Carcass album on the back burner for the time being,” singer-bassist Jeff Walker said in a press release. “Given that we said there’d be new music in August we thought it would be cool to have a stop gap release and let you hear some of the tracks that never quite made the cut. Don’t say we never give you anything. Enjoy.”

Apart from jamming their come back album and not caring much for the vocals I haven't paid much attention to Carcass since their return. This song is solid tho. Will check the album
