I think they might be using a drum machine on this new album
| |
this is disappointing
| |
Well, at least Mat Kerekes has some dope solo stuff going.
This song's just aite. Feels like it's mostly stuck in a cadence I'm not resonating with.
| |
Such a forgettable tune.
| |
I thought these dudes were supposed to be a gazey alt rock band.
| |
They were, but bands change.
| |
sheesh they sound so instrumentally hollow now down 2 band members
| |
Citizen was pretty bad before..but this is the true icing on the cake.
| |
huh, was not expecting this move. the song's surprisingly catchy but yeah I miss the atmosphere of the last album
| |
that snare is just goddamn awful
| |
Not a bad 2009 two door cinema club b-side but this is truly sad
| |
horribly disappointing, hope the album's better
| |
why did those 2 guys leave? I was surprised when I saw the new promo pic
| |
The band never made a formal announcement, so not exactly sure
According to some random facebook comment the rhythm guitarist left cause he wanted to do other things
| |
The band said on IG live they might replace them when they return to playing live but for now it will just be them 3
| |
I thought this was fun
| |
figured out what this song reminded me of, it sounds straight up like twin atlantic's gla minus the scottish accent lol
| |
I dig this but am more interested to hear it in context, that ending is pretty solid.
Anyone else hear a mix of Closer by Tegan and Sara along with Metro Station though...that's pretty prominent
| |
I thought this was fun [2]

I thought this was fun [3]
Prefer their older sound(s) and the production is pretty awful given there are only two people, but I expected worse.
| |
Hot take:this is in the top 5 songs they've had since Youth.
EIGTH was a borefest and As you please was mostly duds.
Atleast they've got their sort of ''upbeat'' sound back.
| |
I don't know what everyone's hating on here, sounds fine. Not the best they've done, but not the drop off of epic proportions like y'all are acting like it is.
| |
“As you please was mostly duds.“
I agreed until I saw this
Take that back you son of a bitch
| |
This honestly reminds me of the last smashing pumpkins album more than anything else. It feels thin, has too much singing, and it honestly comes off as a cheeky take on contemporary pop music.
| |
Doesn’t even sound like citizen
