New Crazy Town single

2020-08-15 by DatsNotDaMetulz | 19 Comments
Rap-rock group Crazy Town, now going under the name "Crazy Town X" since the 2017 departure of Brett "Epic" Mazur, have released a new single, "Fly Away". featuring Tanner Alexander. The song is a move into a more pop-oriented direction, mixing the sound of "Darkhorse" and "The Brimstone Sluggers". It's the second single under the group's current incarnation, after the more nu-metal leaning "The Life I Chose" (feat. Hyro the Hero) was released in June.

It is currently unconfirmed if a new album, tentatively titled "The Beautiful and Insane", will include these tracks, nor is it known when the band intends to release the purported double-album.

That first song was bleh, but the second song was actually kind of fun in a cheesy old school nu metal kind of way.

Yeah the song with Hyro is kinda reminiscent of their first album, ie it sucks but in a fun way that you could probably mosh to if played live and not during a pandemic.

10 year old me jamming the fuck out in a minivan listening to "Butterfly" approves of this news, it's refreshing to still have REAL artistry in music in the year of our lord 2020.

Normally I'd agree, but after hearing these songs, I think they're better at the pop shit now. 2nd song is unlistenable, makes the 1st one sound decent

Of all the bands to still be around...these guys.

THESE GUYS.

Sure, Gift of Game is something of a guilty pleasure, from an ironic standpoint, but...seriously?
