Guitarist Asad Ahmed's Rebirth

2020-06-02 by OmairSh | 5 Comments
Veteran Pakistani guitarist Asad Ahmed (Karavan, Coke Studio, etc) has released his first solo instrumental rock album Rebirth (available on Spotify, Apple Music, and other streaming platforms).

He also released a music video for lead single "Animal", shot in front of screens with various vivid imagery. Although not a technical extravaganza, the album features lots of melodic and enjoyable guitar playing (the album review has a few more song links for anyone curious).

this is the most okay playing I've heard from an instrumental guitar project. Quite the video though

Really cool that you give these Pakistani musicians spotlight and recognition, I've liked a bunch of the ones you post

Cheers dude! Yeah I thought I should share some work from compatriots. Brings some change up in here as well :-). Glad to know a few people are enjoying these posts.

This entire album is a fun time if you want an easy listening instrumental rock album. My review has a few more youtube song links if anyone's interested

Also just reviewed Keeray Makoray's EP (Pak prog/funk rock band with English lyrics). Another really fun short album!
