I like this bands’s music but they come off as a bit douchey sometimes. This production is awful too, which is weird because Kurt Ballou is usually great so it must have been a stylistic choice by the band. The riffs sound like leftovers from their last album. I wish they’d go back to the more dynamic songwriting of Abandon All Life where there were some slower groove parts and not just fast grindy parts that get monotonous after a while.
