Well they reunited with a completely different lineup (save for Becerra), now as a five-piece because Becerra is paraplegic now and can't play bass in his wheelchair. That was way back in 2007, so it's still taken then 12 years since reuniting to write and record new material but it's cool.

The instruments are good, not a fan of the vocals. It kind of sounds like Lemmy trying to do thrash/death, and the lyrics are awful. I'll probably check out the rest of the album. Most importantly, I hope they tour.

Vocals aren't bad. I don't get that complaint because it's very old school heavy metal sounding.
This is definitely more thrash than death and certainly not heavier than Demolition Hammer so I'm waiting for DH to put out something that will crush this

And here I was thinking that Possessed from Rhyme Asylum was FINALLY releasing the first track from his comeback album. This made me sad.

Not a massive fan of the vocals on Seven Churches either, but I think the greater separation on this makes them harder to ignore

The vocals do seem the most divisive. Consensus seems to be the instruments are great but nobody can agree if Becerra's vocals work or not. Some people love them, some hate them, but I think they're an acquired taste. I do think they've lost some of the grit and guttural sound that they used to have but I don't hate them. It's harder to growl in a sitting position, as you can't get in the right body shape like you can when you're standing.

Damn, I thought that huge gap in between albums would slow them down but this stomped the shit out of me
