Danish progressive metal band VOLA have released a video for the song "Alien Shivers", which is the third single off their upcoming sophomore LP Applause of a Distant Crowd. The album is slated to drop on 12 October 2018.

Sounding gorgeous.
The mix is a little unusual, it's a little fuzzier than I'd usually anticipate for a track like this (not least of all on that second verse), but it feels so much more engrossing as a result.

I think one of the major issues with the previous album was that everything started sounding samey halfway through the album. I think the differences in mixes on this one might be an effort to keep the album fresh throughout its playtime.

Really lame mixing in the chorus, and it got worse when I listened in my car and it sounded like the volume went down or my car's subwoofer went out.

Besides that, I like this a hell of a lot more than the other singles. Hopefully the album is more this than those.
