Definitely sounds like a mix of NWFT and The Afterman. Color me hyped.

Ayyyy, I found it. Thanks, Calc.
Claudio Sanchez, pshhh, more like Potty-o Mouthsays.
|
| |
sounds pretty ok tbh
|
| |
Yeah this was average
|
| |
Sorry to everyone losing their minds over this thread. Never was able to get into these guys, just didn't click with me.
Unfortunately nothing has changed here for me personally. That goofy spoken intro thing to The Dark Sentencer was the corniest shit ever.
|
| |
Fucking incredible.
The prog rock gods strike back.
|
| |
Spoken part was kind of annoying, never been able to get into these guys but I really enjoyed this song.
|
| |
sounded like something straight off Ascension. This was a damn good track.
|
| |
Okay this sound pretty damn good.
|
| |
checking myself into the hospital
|
| |
"storm where u at geek out w/ me"
"thread needs some storm"
Im here now! there's so much to geek out about too. so much going on in this song.
|
| |
It's pretty good kripes
|
| |
somewhere between pretty good and fairly epic
|
| |
oh my god there's already a good quality live recording of this and it's amazing
|
| |
WELCOME HOME
SHED YOUR SKIN
AND EXPOSE YOUR BONES
TAKE MY HAND
AND FOLLOW US INTO THE BLACK
SO FAR THAT WE CANT GET BACK
|
| |
there he is
"somewhere between pretty good and fairly epic" - apt
I'll be pretty happy if they release new material in weeks rather than months. I also don't want any bs lead in singles, just release the album so I can absorb it all at once.
|
| |
I've never really thought I gave a shit about the whole Amory Wars thing, but The Color Before The sun left a lot to be desired. This shit has me fucking hyped though.
|
| |
Color Before the Sun was like Claudio on summer break writing in his diary. Not Full on Coheed but certainly erotic enough to get my ears and brain off
|
| |
Man I hope the rest of the album sounds similar to this. I really can’t get into their poppy stuff.
|
| |
Damn. This is actually pretty fucking good after the last album.
|
| |
if this album is straight prog bangers like this with like a max one slow ballady song, it will be perfect
|
| |
yes
|
| |
that is a recipe for success yes
|
| |
yess
|
| |
jam this again or ready up on fortnite? or just do both and turn my headset off
|
| |
it's dank
|
| |
So fresh...
… so clean.
|
| |
didn't think they still had this in them, but lets fucking go
|
| |
This is fucking good!
|
| |
The background “Hey”s are annoying
|
| |
reported
|
| |
I agree that the "hey" element is unneeded. I hate any type of gang or chant vocals in general though. This song is pretty awesome outside of that. I never really got into these guys but this makes me think I should go back and try some of their older shit.
|
| |
Either check their first album or Good Apollo 1 if you want to give them a chance.
|
| |
Interesting that this is a sequel to GA2, I thought they wrapped the story up nicely with that album.
Regardless, song rocks and is a welcome return to their epic proggy sound.
|
| |
decent. some creative decisions that will grate over time (like the constant heys)
|
| |
"I thought they wrapped the story up nicely with that album."
the story for GA2 hasn't been explained through any medium i thought? but yeah it does sonically kinda suggest the end.
|
| |
The full details of GA2 were never spelled out but yeah the general story is apparent music/lyrically and via album art.
Also, I'm assuming the album itself is called 'The Dark Sentencer' based on the two tracks uploaded to Youtube (Prologue, The Dark Sentencer)?
|
| |
Not too much a fan of the basic percussion and hey's, feels sort of like a drawn-out Muse song at times. But otherwise I enjoy the creativity. We'll see what the full album brings.
|
| |
"the story for GA2 hasn't been explained through any medium i thought? but yeah it does sonically kinda suggest the end."
it's really reaaaaally not hard to parse out what happens at the end of GA2 if you read the lyrics.
|
| |
"Color Before the Sun was like Claudio on summer break writing in his diary. Not Full on Coheed but certainly erotic enough to get my ears and brain off"
so bloody funny
|
| |
Well, the story of the Amory wars is wrapped up. Claudio kills Willhelm and destroys the Keywork. But this story seems like Mad Max in space; what happens to all the people after in the chaotic aftermath of the apocalypse.
