Both songs are good and I'm excited about the release. They've decided to stick with the DI steel strings which is an unconventional recording choice for this type of music. This time around there is less delay and reverb on the guitars, which makes them sound a bit thinner, and honestly I think I prefer the drenched sound they had on the s/t. It was a bit over the top, but it somehow worked really well. Either way I'm really excited about this album and can't wait to hear the entire thing.
