gross

Most generic song I've heard in a while. Adam Gontier leaving really killed this band.
| |
it's better than pretty much everything that was on Human but how much is that saying.
| |
This is literally the exact same formula as Human.
And that chorus riff is just so BLAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAND.
| |
It's ok.
| |
Whoops, not a dig at you Toon. Just my personal frustration haha
| |
It's pretty bad, guys
| |
I can't wait to not listen to this
| |
Thanks, I hate it.
| |
Not sure why people still listen to this band. They've put out some of the laziest and shittiest music since they became a band and people are still riding them like they haven't already peaked.
| |
IIIIIIIIIII HATEEEEEEEEEEEEE
everything about this band
| |
Yeah upon second listen this is worse than most of Human for me, holy shit this band got boring.
| |
I liked Painkiller but this isn't even catchy. Wow this is awful. I'm really interested in how this band writes their records, how can you be happy with this as a result...
| |
Gontier has always been the single saving grace of any of this band's history - he's a fine vocalist, but that's about it.
| |
... i like it
| |
god that vocalist doesn't even come close to Adam's vocals and this is just so damn blanddddd
| |
Not that it’s saying much, but at least tried in My Darkest Days - nowadays he just seems to have reached some vague boring complacency and seems content with the same old shit, different day approach.
| |
Sounds like most new modern/mainstream hard rock music, for one: Shinedown, Pop Evil etc. At least cover art is better than last one
| |
Gonna be honest.. I actually quite despise the cover art this time round. At least Human's had a little personality and quality design to it.
The fuck is this meant to be, poor directions to your nearest Guitar Centre so you can play the latest four chord drop D riff you just learned 50 fucking million times?
| |
Is...he trying to do a Bennington impression?
| |
I AM MACHINE I NEVER SLEEP FUCK THE RADIO STATION FOR PLAYING THIS SONG
| |
nope.
| |
I won't bother listening to it now, I'll probably hear it on the radio soon enough anyway.
I actually liked a couple of the singles off Human when they were on the radio but the album as a whole was painfully generic.
| |
They were better as Groundswell. That Groundswell demo/album is pretty rad. Never even bothered with them once they changed their name. Should I?
| |
Listen to the s/t and maybe One X. That's it.
| |
One X had some jams on it, but the self titled is easily the best
| |
Oops accidentally called One X Riot that was dumb, oh well fixed now
And yeah it has it's moments. To be completely honest all of the Gontier albums have their moments, just avoid Human like the fucking plague or risk catching something generic
| |
Gonna piss you all off, but this song is a banger
| |
An overly angsty 3-4 minute radio friendly song? From Three Days Grace?
No way
| |
'Gonna piss you all off, but this song is a banger'
If you're referring to the sensation of banging my head repeatedly against a wall in time to the latest radio rock trends, then yes - this song is a banger.
| |
I'm honestly not surprised Shamus liked this
| |
Dumb song but better than most of Human if I remember that one correctly. The bridge is a hilarious load of nothing though, it basically doesn't exist.
| |
This is painful
| |
is this a gatorade commercial?
| |
this is a UFC intro in the making, hell the video is about the UFC
| |
I keep mixing up Three Days Grace and 3 Doors Down in my head. I need to remember that one of them used to be kind of OK once upon a time and the other played Trump's inauguration.
| |
im so happy there are traditional bad bands out there still. i miss awful music like this. I also really miss terrible metalcore and metalcore scenes in local music. Those were simpler times
| |
I miss ChugChugWob
| |
Band has always sucked and even the older vocalist was dogshit.
This is super bad.
| |
‘It feels made for the ufc, not to mention the video yup‘
Either that or it’s January gym membership advertisement.
| |
I'm really interested in how this band writes their records, how can you be happy with this as a result... [2]
I used to listen a lot to the first 2 albums back in the day, but haven't done it in years now. Still, I'm sure those are not as badly generic as this is.
| |
‘I'm really interested in how this band writes their records, how can you be happy with this as a result...’
Well, Matt Walst WAS discovered by Chad Kroeger.
| |
Haha, actually that explains a lot...
| |
It's not very impressive, but certainly on par with "Human." Its hard to invest in this band because they don't offer much in terms of substance. The argument between Walst and Gontier is redundant because there is no comparison. Walst does what he's expected to do. He doesn't exceed nor lower expectations--he just meets them. I'm disappointed because I expect more from him, but he simply does what he's expected to do. His lyrics are bland, his vocals are okay, and the band churns out a familiar sound. "The Mountain" is an incredibly generic song that I won't be adding to my playlist. There are countless songs similar to it, and "The Mountain" is no different.
| |
Something tells me we should keep climbing the mountain...
Yeah this is pretty terrible
| |
Better than Human, so it isn't a 1
| |
"Band has always sucked and even the older vocalist was dogshit."
Pretty sure Adam could smoke you even if he had laryngitis
| |
Adam could probably pull off melodeath agreed
| |
"Pretty sure Adam could smoke you even if he had laryngitis"
how can you smoke with laryngitis wouldn't you just choke to death
| |
Probably means smoking you as in cooking tbh, and I agree, he could probably still cook with laryngitis
