Tango With Lions have been one of Greece's biggest indie/folk bands since 2010. Their debut album, "Verba Time", has received enthusiastic reviews and the single "In A Bar" with over 30 million views – has been one of YouTube's most-played Greek songs.
The staggeringly talented Greek singer/songwriter Katerina Papachristou and her band Tango With Lions return after five years of absence from discography with new album, "The Light', out January 19th via Inner Ear Records. It's the follow up to their critically acclaimed 2013 "A Long Walk".
Katerina says:
"When you are emotionally drained, being involved with someone new seems to conceal so many unconscious parameters of emotional endangerment that you eventually shut down. This song is about the cruel realisation that you don't really know how much or if you can give yourself to a new love story. I was very consciously aware of the rules of this game and of how this knowledge was disabling any feelings of hope or freedom I would formerly experience. In other words, overwhelming skepticism was filling in for innocence."
