Btw, according to Rivers in a Radio 1 interview: This is separate from The Black Album, but written at the same time. The Black Album is pretty much ready for release whenever.
Mexican Fender is quite enjoyable. Looking forward to the album, though I feel like it'll end up essentially being The White Album pt. 2. Especially since they're doing the beach theme again.

Neat
| |
They said on their beats one interview that this album isn't the end product of black album. Black album is still coming out and this album was just songs made during the sessions that didn't fit the tone of black album.
| |
Mexican Fenders suck, but nice product placement.
| |
Song isn't bad. Fucking miles ahead of Feels Like Summer though.
| |
AOTY incoming. Brand New who?
| |
Guitar's got the right amount of crunch to it, and I bet Scott Shriner is happy to have a bit more to do with his bass lines these days
Can't spell Weezer without caution but hopefully this is a fun one
| |
song is fun af. im hype
| |
alright i'll take what i can get at this point
| |
Last album was shite, so hope this or black album good
| |
now that's just not true
| |
he isn't wrong though
| |
I mentioned once that Weezer's production is so stupid LOL Bird - dick unbelievable
| |
my original title was much better
| |
Don't like it. Lyrics are terrible. Can't believe Weezer fans here are digging this crap.
| |
hey Eons the jerk store called
| |
That's it? They didn't say anything? Just called? To say hello?
| |
"Mexican Fenders suck, but nice product placement."
Yeah you would say that
| |
I am a gear snob, it's true
| |
Go play on your schecter and touch yourself
| |
Is Feels Like Summer gonna be on the record? This song is definitely a tier above that one, but it's still worse than most of the White Album
| |
"Go play on your schecter and touch yourself"
Bwahaha
| |
mexican fenders are alright
spoken by someone who can't afford an american to be a snob about it
| |
Avoid the overpriced and overrated American models and go for a used Japanese model, trust me. It doesn't even need to be a Fender if it's from Japan. A lot of the knock-off brands are amazing.
| |
can't stop listening to this, so excited to see them
| |
I've read the genius annotations for the song aaaaaaand....
Rivers, you have a wife right? You were using Tinder as an inspiration for White and now this, I'm confused.
| |
Don't enjoy this song as much as i'd like
| |
Will probs be another fun record
| |
I'll never get tired of saying it and don't mean to be disrespectful to fans: this band, at least for me, died with "Pinkerton". The band that arose back from the dead with the (still pretty decent swansong) "Green Album" at the dawn of the millennium was a completely different band from the 90s original line-up era. And I'll never stop thinking about Matt Sharp. Apparently he was more than just a bass player and back-up vocalist. After that, I abandoned them. Peace.
| |
^ I'd say they turned straight dogshit after Pinkerton, which itself was decent but not even close to how good the blue record was.
| |
first two records are solid, everything after has a couple fun pop rock singles but nothing outstanding, until White Album which is their best work in 20+ years. This sounds like a return to Make Believe territory
| |
how can a single band survive on irony for so long?
| |
I liked the White album, but not too sure how to really feel about this
| |
enjoyed the white album but this song is pretty bad. not excited for another summer themed album
| |
I'd be fine with the summer theme for one more album but after that it's going to wear thin and it might even diminish the effect of White.
| |
Can't wait to throw it in the trash.
| |
i gotta be one of the few who doesnt hate feels like summer. i dont particularly like it very much either, but i can vibe to it a little if it comes on. kinda sounds like one of the newer fall out boy songs except not as shit.
