Hammock announce new album 2017-08-13 by Raul Stanciu STAFF | 11 Comments | Post-rock/ambient duo, Hammock have announced the release of their 8th studio album, called Mysterium. Due out on August 25, the LP was composed as a memorial to Clark Kern, a son-like figure to Hammock co-founder Marc Byrd who died in 2016 from the tumor strain NF2.
The band revealed three songs with accompanying music video. They can be listened to/viewed below:

sound like every other Hammock song?
The only similarities this album has is with Oblivion Hymns. This has more choral elements to it than OH to set it apart. Last track linked above is probably the most traditional 'Hammock' track.
It's a gorgeous record and Boney is right, it was announced quite a while ago now!
